What do you plug it into?

I would so mount that in a van and drive out pumping out fat beats.

That's the only way to listen to Disaster Area on your iPod.

hahahahahaha

This is a parody in itself.

I think the biggest joke is that anything made by Behringer is worth even $1

2011-12-08 11:42:39 AM
Because if you're going to spend $30,000 on a sound system, you want it to play MP3s for best quality.

A company founded on the principle of making cheap junk with a well 'designed' exterior in China and selling it to rubes in the West. And you thought Steve Jobs was the first?

Behringer? Seriously? Behringer is the wal-mart brand of a AV equipment, but without the wal-mart level of quality. I wouldn't spend $30 on an iPod dock from them, let along $30,000.

So much this.

I wouldn't take this any more seriously than any of their other sh*t products or brazen knock-offs.

The product is real

No it isn't. It's the company's semi-functional booth dressing for an upcoming trade show, and the alleged price tag on it is a ruse to get gullible media outlets to give them free press.

I've found Behringer consumer products to be a decent value for the money, as long as you don't stress them too much by doing things like moving them around or plugging and unplugging things.

great for blasting your compressed, tinny m4a files for every asshole that doesn't want to hear it.

I'd rather just buy 30 copies of this app (new window).

100,000 watts of NUCLEAR BRAIN DAMAGE!

And when you die, they can BURY you in it!

Ha ha ha

No way this is real.

Won't fit through my front door. Which happens to be the only reason why I'm not buying.

Friggin iphones, making it impossible to find a decent alarm clock or clock radio.

/not everyone has an iPhone, so the crappily placed iPhone dock that you put on your product is just a giant dust collector for me.

On many radios, that dock retracts into the body of the device. Check it out sometime.

If it was only cheap and portable I'd give it a try, just to play Stravinsky at full volume to irritate chavs on the train playing terrible music through their tinny mobile speaker.

I could get you a dolly, that would make it "portable"

But you'll have to spend a year dead for tax reasons to afford it.

Stand in front of this, and there's something else that will retract into the body.

You would still need a powered sub and some amps for these, but for under $30K, this would be the way to go.

"I think the biggest joke is that anything made by Behringer is worth even $1"

Granted, some of their stuff is a bit lackluster, but some of their products are excellent by any standard and hold up as well as the "big-name" products.

One such product is the XM8500 mic. We've been using those for several years, along with Shure SM58 and Beta 58s. Doing a blind test, they're a little hotter than the regular SM58s, and very close to Beta 58 territory at 1/6th the price. They're also better at rejecting feedback than the Shures. They get banged around just like the Shures & hold up perfectly well. Our sound guy has put tape over the logo & used them running sound for national acts in large venues many times and no one is the wiser.

THIS...

But I must admit that I have a Altec Lansing speaker/dock for my Lifedrive, that with a alarm clock software, it's the most awesome alarm clock ever....

But I wish I could easily find a freaking simple alarm clock that would be something decent that would simply take SD cards...
