Not only are skeptics and debunkers psychic themselves, they are trans-dimensional and can negate ESP events that occurred in the past. They use this to "prove" the works of good psychics wrong in their previous predictions.

There is a continuum from good to evil that all psychics fall into, and the most evil are those who use their power to block the power of the good.

You can prove that these "dark" psychics have enormous power because they consistently tamper with the results which "light" psychics foretell. Dark psychics are almost never wrong in their "predictions" that light psychics shall fail. Of course they fail. The dark psychics are destroying the good work they are doing!

Nope.

I was reading up on this stuff almost four decades ago, and "blocking psychics" were one of the standard excuses even then.

It was almost as popular as doing one test ("what card am I looking at right now?"), then re-analyzing it for patterns of any sort. Prediction, postdiction (calling the card chosen two cards or more before even though you didn't see it), skewing predictions (one card ahead, then two cards ahead, etc), even analyzing previous runs of the decks to see if they matched up with "current" predictions.

This is not exactly a new claim. Sounds like another variation of the many past cases of "but you're putting off a bad vibe," or "too much negative energy in the room".

This exactly what Sir Arthur Conan Doyle said about Houdini. Doyle couldn't bear the thought that Houdini was exposing frauds left and right and so accused him of blocking their powers.

I was also accused of having the power to chase ghosts away, after participating in a paranormal investigation of a supposed "hotspot", in which absolutely nothing happened the whole night. I was disappointed myself. I was promised there would be some 'unexplainable' activity, instead watched some idiot "pros" who jumped like children every time the wind blew.

You see that was a wasted oppurtunity. You should have demanded that the ghost hunters pay you to leave so that they could continue on with their nonsense. You need to recognize opportunity like this. Maybe I will start a business shaking down ghost hunters as a sort of protection racket.

The truth is, if the ESP powers I and many others have ever got out into the public in a credible way, the control we exert on society and government would be threatened. Its hard work discrediting and keeping our ESP powers under wraps. You can't believe the work we had to go through just to subvert this one study. Its hard going home every day, and knowing what your wife is going to nag you about and never really being able to discuss your work except in Fark forums where no one is credible anyway.

But that is the price of power.
