(ESPN)   Packers Linebacker charged with beating his girlfriend. IMO, she would be better off dating someone from the Colts. They don't beat anyone   (espn.go.com ) divider line

i don't think he's being charged with beating his girlfriend at a game of football, subby. i think he is being accused of physically assaulting a woman, mostly likely outside of the context of football entirely. a member of the indianapolis colts is probably just as likely to physically assault a girlfriend as any other nfl team member, and perhaps more likely since they are dealing with more work-related stresses and frustrations. so what i'm saying is, i don't think your headline is accurate and should probably be changed to something like "Packers LInebacker charged with beating his girlfriend. Violence against women is a despicable act that needs to be addressed both by legal authorities and the linebacker's football team."

As an acknowledged Packer troll, I wholeheartedly support any punishment that the court, the NFL, and the Packers deem appropriate. Hitting anyone, outside of self-defense in order to flee a situation or a sanctioned sporting event, is wrong.

The woman changed her story. She admits she started it and he was defending himself. He admitted pushing her. She fell down and hit her head on the bedpost. Now, while battered women do change stories sometimes I have a hard time believing anything is going to stick. Disorderly conduct? That is a catch-all and a really lame charge.

Oh, ya. That particular fantasy team was so bad I just decided to see how low I could go this week. I broke my own rules though as I think Namaann Rosevelt and Leverell Hawkins are slot WRs/4th depth chart guys but they have stupid names. Next season I'm going to do the worst first stringers fantasy league. This week it was tough picking between Palko & Hannie as to who would do worse.
