The logic....it hurts.

I really wish this guy could be the nominee.

2011-12-07 10:04:42 AM
I've been told that the president keeping secrets is inherently shady.

2011-12-07 10:05:37 AM
These guys are so pissed that Bin Laden is dead, aren't they?

JerseyTim: I really wish this guy could be the nominee.

It would be hilarious to see his daughter crying again and holding her weird doll that is wearing the same clothes as she is when he loses the presidential race.

Except now she's 17 and it's way more creepy. I would laugh and laugh.

Soooooo pissed.

I find Santorum's support of al qaeda to be disturbing.

I would love for them to recreate that scene, including the son in his Hogwarts uniform and the creepy guy in the balcony.

The agenda of stripping our liberties falls short with no live boogie man

Not too mention it was some dirty liberal who was responsible for the take down, so their party gets no credit for it.

What's even more damning? How a dirty Muslim could order the death of another Muslim. It shows a decided lack of piety and loyalty.

Because Santorum can keep secrets. Like his closet homosexuality.

PreMortem: Because Santorum can keep secrets. Like his closet homosexuality.

I don't know. I've heard that Santorum leaks can be a serious problem. He leaves a stain wherever he goes.

2011-12-07 11:43:56 AM
Santorum is right. Obama can't be trusted to lie to the American people. In contrast, one of the main things that flow from Santorum is shiat.

2011-12-07 11:44:56 AM
BUSTED!

Just like his fake hidden secret birf certifikit

2011-12-07 11:44:57 AM
Santorum would be spewing secrets like crazy if he were President. He'd be absolutely frothy around the lips in his eagerness to come right out and shiat forth state secrets if it would serve his theocratic agenda.

/just kidding, Republicans. Seriously, he's your man. Go with him for President and Bachmann for Veep. Guaranteed win. I promise.

2011-12-07 11:45:10 AM
It is so embarrassing as an American to have such absolute morons running for the office of President of the United States. The rest of the world moves into the 21st Century. The Republican field wants to take us back to about 1870.

2011-12-07 11:49:37 AM
So Santorum is saying this really IS the most transparent administration ever?

2011-12-07 11:50:05 AM
Do these GOP candidates actually hear themselves when they talk? First Newt thinking that taking credit for Mitt Romney's wealth is a great campaign tactic, and now this.

Yes, but they are prepared to step boldly into 1871!

/Santorum lives up once again to the google search for his last name

The best and the brightest of the GOP, ladies and gentlemen...

what_now: These guys are so pissed that Bin Laden is dead, aren't they?

Of course, Obama took away their number one boogeyman to scare the yokels with.

Welcome to where time stands still
No one leaves and no one will
Moon is full, never seems to change
Just labeled mentally deranged
Dream the same thing every night
I see our freedom in my sight
No locked doors, no windows barred
No things to make my brain seem scarred

Sleep, my friend, and you will see
The dream is my reality
They keep me locked up in this cage
Can't they see it's why my brain says "rage"

Sanitarium Santorum, leave me be
Sanitarium Santorum, just leave me alone

Build my fear of what's out there
Cannot breathe the open air
Whisper things into my brain
Assuring me that I'm insane
They think our heads are in their hands
But violent use brings violent plans
Keep him tied, it makes him well
He's getting better, can't you tell?

No more can they keep us in
Listen, damn it, we will win
They see it right, they see it well
But they think this saves us from our hell

Sanitarium Santorum, leave me be
Sanitarium Santorum, just leave me alone
Sanitarium Santorum

Just leave me alone

Fear of living on
Natives getting restless now
Mutiny in the air
Got some death to do
Mirror stares back hard
kill is such a friendly word
seems the only way
for reaching out again

I seriously doubt that Obama had Osama killed. He is probably in Rev. Wrights basement as we speak.

Is santorum trying to trick obama into admitting we are messing with iran as proof that he can keep a secret?

2011-12-07 12:31:49 PM
I never would have believed how angry Republicans would get over the death of bin Laden. They're furious about it. Republicans really are weird.

2011-12-07 12:37:46 PM
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Republicans just don't have the stomach to fight the GWOT.

2011-12-07 12:38:28 PM
I made a joke about this the day we found out bin Laden had been killed. I said something about the right scolding Obama for not keeping secrets and looking like their usual retarded selves.

The thing is, I was joking. I didn't think Santorum would take the ball and run with it.

Sure that pisses them off a little but what really upsets them is that jobless rate has dropped to 8.6% and the auto industry has announced plans to hire 200,000 employees. Basically, anything good that happens to America makes them upset.

That is a new dangerous variant of Poe's Law. Poe's Law saying a deliberately idiotic statement will be agreed with. In this case, it is being accepted as political policy. Be careful what you say.

B5 is freakin' awesome. Season 1 is a bit slow and quite a bit campy...and Season 5 was "meh," but the main story arc up through Season 4 is pretty epic.

It was a lot of fun. There is a fair amount of camp, there is some bad acting in the first season, but the over all arc in the story that is a strong hook. Mind you, I hated BSG, but the Stargate series, I've enjoyed for the most part. It is, at its heart, space opera, and if you like that sort of thing, it's a great series. If you don't, then it will annoy the crap out of you.

I love B5, loved Firefly, and Farscape. Take my recommendation knowing that.

The thing about B5 is, is that it had some decent commentary about the dangers of authoritarianism, both the Vorlons and the Shadows. It was a natural outgrowth of the times. What is dumb, is that it is becoming relevant commentary, again.

Didn't Earth use the nebulous yet ever-looming danger of a Shadow attack as grounds to help "secure" the people and consolidate the President's power?

....

Yuuuuuuup.

/and I so agree with you on this.

it all comes down to taste, so i won't argue about its goodness. may i ask what it was you didn't dig about it? in the end, it came down to Edward James Olmos and Mary McDonnell being awesome -- that's why I loved it so much.
