It feels like Walker's trying to win a bet on how much he has to do to still get re-elected. Maybe the Bradley's or Koch's put him up to it with the reasoning that he beat a guy who was as boring as wallpaper by four points in a tidal wave year for the Republicans, what does he have to do now to get through the recall.

It's partially poll driven I'm sure, but even with our fairly stable state system we were looking at 20 billion dollar deficits, double dipping, retirement at 55, and a host of issues covered ad nauseum in the Globe, Herald, and among the talking heads. We've pushed back retirement 5 years, pushed back maximum earnings by 2 years, demanded more payments into health care plans, and are continuing to bring these jobs back into reasonable ranges of compensation.
