"They seem to have survived a major change in the terrestrial fauna that occurred during the Middle Permian, a poorly understood extinction event in the history of life on land."

For a second I thought that said Pernian. Damned moon-thread thingies!

That guys hair.

He had to go through makeup, the makeup artist probably tried to talk him out of it, but he still looked in the mirror and said, 'Yes, yes, this is what I want to look like to dozens of people who are going to watch this show.'

Maybe he's an alien!

OK, who the fark is that guy? I've seen him in a lot of threads and he seems batshiat insane. For the sake of my faith in humanity,I need to know how he could possibly have gotten a TV show.

Love that guy! Cracks me up (and seems kind of cool while still nuttier than a squirrel turd).

Seems the 'Earth is 6000 years old' meme has been replaced by Aliens.

Batshiat insane doesn't even begin to describe it. I was channel-flipping a week or so ago and came across some History channel thing about Ancient Egypt and then THIS guy came on. Rambling, incoherent ranting about how more or less everything under the sun is proof of ANCIENT ALIENS.

I just kinda... was too boggled to change the channel. I'd seen the pictures on Fark, but holy cow, that guy approaches Scientology levels of batshiat nuts.

Funny thing is, this guy has a degree in sports information... oh yeah, and he's one of the producers of 'Ancient Aliens.' I'm sure a lot of people think that being on that show lends his whole "aliens are responsible" mentality, but when you think about it, it's just the opposite. He's putting up money so that he can talk about his theories.

Still, the guy is just so mesmerisingly crazy, I can't stop watching!
