Hi everybody,

Yesterday we kicked off the first Headline of the Year contest quarterfinals for Round 1: December through February, and as a bonus I also threw in a second thread for Headline of the Year nominees that didn't make the cut.

Both threads are still open, although there's only voting on the official candidates thread.

Don't forget, we have another Headline of the Year contest tomorrow for the second quarter of the Main page headlines, and the third one will be Friday, so keep an eye out and get in early if you can. That's it, here are the weekly headlines.

About half of my greens have been obvious trolls. In the quest for greenlights, trolling works. Trolling works well.

I'm pretty sure it's a requirement that every third headline under the Politics tab be trolly.

I don't understand the Suh headline. Is it because his name looks like it should be pronounced like it's spelled instead of "Sue"? Or is there some reference I'm not getting?

Because it kind of looks like a stutter when put next to suspended.

Thrilled that my green (the Suh headline) made it here.
