Gotta love the fancy "for emergencies" painted on 'em though. I mean, they're not just ANY old bricks...

When they get to hell, tell them Itchy sent 'em

I read that as emergency pricks.

These deserve to be stolen more than the emergency hammers.

That makes a good amount of sense, if there is one thing in China that they have in greater abundance than people it's bricks.

I'm curious as to when a performance artist is going to attempt to steal enough of them to build a building...

See, that wouldn't work in my town, cuz the homeless would just ride the bus enough times and build themselves a new little shack

I don't know if they even use them anymore (push-out windows and all) but I remember riding the bus when I was younger and chuckling at the emergency hammer behind glass. There was supposed to be a smaller hammer attached to the thing but they were almost always missing.

Hypothetical Imperative

They should put the little one behind glass to keep it safe.

I was traveling for work a few weeks ago. I was in the Comfort Inn hallway and noticed that the nice "Emergency" hammer was missing. In its place was a regular steel claw hammer with vinyl grip; a hole had been drilled through the handle near the bottom and a security chain affixed it to the box (like that worked the last time). The hammer sat proudly atop the fire extinguisher box.

Unsurprising. You can't even get yourself free refills at KFC there cuz people would walk in with 5-gal buckets and then get in slap fights when told to leave.

/lived there 3 years, hope I never go back

Either this was posted in the wrong thread, or China is way more hilarious than I first thought.

Sweet! If you grab the brick, you can start a spontaneous game of brick tag with the other passengers.

*thunk*

"You're it!"
