Sybarite: I hadn't seen Ghost World in years, but it was running on Sundance recently. That was the movie that really made me take notice of Scarlett Johansson. And to think, I watched it because Steve Buscemi was in it.

The first movie I noticed her in was A Love Song For Bobby Long. In retrospect, that film was horrible. But I believe she was a redhead in that one.

I don't really understand where this "she's obviously vacuous" idea comes from. Certainly not from anything in that article. If anything, it takes a lot of self-reflection and humility to say something like "I just didn't put the work in." Is this because of the Sean Penn thing? Because by all accounts Sean Penn is an asshole, and I really don't put a lot of stock into what he has to say about someone else's intelligence.
