Interesting. Could this be beginning of a revolt within the GOP?

The only reasoning I can think of for using the Trump clown as the moderator would be that it's a ratings grab by Fox.

Keep in mind: they don't work for the GOP, the GOP works for them ;-)

RON PAUL just makes himself sound like an addled old fool who isn't capable of comprehending the consequences of his proposals. His fans make him a clown-like candidate.

I agree with Ron Paul on this one. The Presidency is not a reality show competition. Who's the next moderator? Jeff Pobst?

ManateeGag: The Presidency is not a reality show competition.

Which is why the current crop of Republican candidates are perfect... they're all living in a fantasy world...

Fark that!

Let's have the next debate adopt the format of a 'Special Edition of Fear Factor.' Joe Rogan can host the affair...

How much would it cost me to have Donald Trump cast me in an unflattering light? Cause that's instant credibility.

HA! Trump is the biggest clown of all. Even that thing on his head agrees.

Paul is now tied with Romney.
I think the candidates should make their entrances like the rasslers on WWE.

If any of the other candidates had actual integrity, they'd bow out of the Trump debate too.

Oh well.

I appreciate Trump's policing of the GOP field. He already saved us from one clown candidate when he decided not to run.

I could say something about pots and kettles but that just seems too easy.

Still that's a lot coming from Trump, the clown king himself.

I just love the Trump-speak. He has such a mechanical pattern/rhythm to his put downs and buildups of himself. I wonder if he trained himself to do that or it just developed naturally. I don't think I've heard anyone else speak quite that way.

Some high-dial channel that shows a lot of syndicated shows. They've been on a Psych kick lately here.

Paul's foreign policy position on Iran is that he doesn't think the United States should do anything to try and prevent them from acquiring nuclear weapons. biatch all you want Farkers, on this point, Trump is correct.

So the Republicans don't are anti-birther... however they are going to be moderated by the most popular birther in the world.

Yeah keep telling people that you don't tolerate or support birtherism GOP. Even though every chance you get you do.

Have you been paying any attention to the GOP debacle that's been going on? It's EXACTLY like a reality television show. It's pathetic and bad for the country and a disgrace in the eyes of the world.

Fox decides who moderates the debate? I thought newsmax or whatever it is was sponsoring and using trump as the moderator?

Trump: "When I decided not to run, due to the equal time provisions concerning my hit show The Apprentice, I was leading the Republican field."

Huh. At first I thought he meant the Fairness Doctrine, but I guess equal time is a thing. I assume that would actually be triggered by him hosting a show? Even if he never mentions the election once?

I_Hate_Iowa: Huh. At first I thought he meant the Fairness Doctrine, but I guess equal time is a thing. I assume that would actually be triggered by him hosting a show? Even if he never mentions the election once?

Correct. One of the cast of the original Star Trek wanted to run for office, but he decided not to when he realized reruns of the show counted towards equal time, effectively barring him from airing tv ads.

SunsetLament: Paul's foreign policy position on Iran is that he doesn't think the United States should do anything to try and prevent them from acquiring nuclear weapons. biatch all you want Farkers, on this point, Trump is correct.

Idiot.

We shouldn't do anything militarily to try and prevent that. Any force we spend on bombing shiat over there is only going to come bite us in the ass.

How can you not understand this? We look terrible any time we do something like that, and if we stopped, after a while, fewer and fewer people would hate us.

I have to assume that people like you (and republican voters) actually have a deeply-ingrained belief in American exceptionalism; not that you're necessarily a conscious proponent of it, just that when something like this is run through your mind, you don't stop to think "What would I think if I was a citizen of Iran, or even a citizen of a third, unrelated country?"

I have to admit, I cringe when Ron talks on TV nowadays. He rambles so much and doesn't make his point clear. When he was on Huckabee they asked him what one book everyone should read is, and he suggested, "The Law," by Frédéric Bastiat. The choice is ironic, because Bastiat puts so succinctly and clearly the ideas that Ron rambles about. And to quote Bastiat:

"The worst thing that can happen to a good cause is, not to be skillfully attacked, but to be ineptly defended."

I feel like that represents the whole Republican anti-Government movement. The cause of liberty has been, in some part, taken up by the dumbasses, and the ideas are suffering as a result.
