Remember folks, based on how much money he earns, he's a job creator and thus should never be questioned.

You don't have to be an economist or analyst to decide Obama will likely win, and to vote for him.

cptjeff: Remember folks, based on how much money he earns, he's a job creator and thus should never be questioned.

But he was also a union member, which I'm pretty sure cancels out any value he ever created in society. So what's left? He's black like Obama and thus a racist against hardworking non-union white people.

It really amazes me how, with this little semantic sleight-of=hand, the people responsible for what got us here cast themselves as the victims of this mess. AND a large part of the United States believes them.

This country keeps getting what it deserves.

Remember.

What celebrities say is only important when they are supporting conservative positions.

I always get so confused when dealing with celebrities.

On one hand, they are part of the Hollywood Liberal Media Elite, and should be scorned.

On the other hand, they have lots of money, making them Job Creators who are fundamentally better people than I am.

What do I do?

I like to point out to my right leaning friends that, for the most part, there is a correlation between a customer's wealth and a customer's purchasing savvy. Generally, the less savvy a customer is the more profitable the ratio products and services they consume. Rich people are more likely to be shiatty customers, not job creators.

/Yes, savvy wealthy investors like to invest, but savvy business investments take into account customers, who either no longer have any money or are shiatty customers.

Well if I thought for myself I wouldn't be able to support huge tax cuts for the richest people in America. So clearly, thinking for myself is out of the question.

He did make the very wise economic decision to be 7 feet tall, athletic, and terrible at free throws.

sadly, he's still way better than i am at free throws.

You libs make me sick! If it weren't for economic theory and the law of supply and demand he wouldn't be rich because nobody would care if some tall guy can throw a football into a goal net. He should be voting for his financial interests which is republican all the way.

What does that mean for Ronald Reagan who was on the Board of Directors for the Screen Actors Guild?

Obama Classic?

An NBA exhibition game in support of Obama's campaign in the summer of 2012?

That actually sounds like it might be interesting.

Can't recall the NBA ever doing anything like this before.

Charity games? Sure, but not political fundraisers. Is this a new thing?

There are many rich people who think destroying the American middle class isn't best for their financial interests, even if they get a few percent off their taxes in the short term. Warren Buffett didn't become the richest person in the country by making moves that weren't in his own financial interest.

I think so, because I don't remember them doing anything for Bill Bradley's political career.

And if I didn't think for myself, I wouldn't realize how much Republicans are full of themselves fighting to keep the payroll tax cut from being extended after watching them biatch and moan about trying to pass every other tax cut imaginable.

Seriously, how can anyone who is not rich support the GOP trying to raise taxes on the middle and lower classes on people like us?

They have more skin in the game than us.

Despite much of the middle class having higher effective tax rates.

If I was a supervillain, it would be strongly tempting to design some sort of horrible life-ending nanobot swarm keyed to people who use that phrase seriously when referring to people who are so broke that there's no tax money to be had from them.

The quote I saw in the paper yesterday mentioned one Republican that said why should seniors face Medicare cuts when we're giving tax breaks to people who are lucky enough to have a job as it is (paraphrased). So basically she's saying be thankful you even have a job and quit yer biatchin about higher taxes on you.

I wanted to punch her in the face after reading that.

No, if I was a superhero I'd just punch them into the sun. Only supervillains are allowed things like terrible nanobot swarms.

Maybe. But why hurt the small business, 255k household job creators that do exist?
