Never heard of this Miller chap but Bisping needs to get his skull crushed, so go team Miller!

Whoever got this green, congrats and thanks.

I watched part of the last prelim and the green haired guy.

FINALLY!

That was a very one-sided first match on Spike. But there were some good fights on their Facebook feed.

Wow, that was quick.

A++++++ job Admins. Would submit again.

He's just just trying to get you to buy his shorts, apparently. Nice kicks coming from Edwards.

Great first round.

Rolling omaplata... lol

Edwards is putting up a great fight, but I think he's outclassed here. A lucky shot might be his only way to win.

Loving the back and forth here.

they both seem to be trying for that show-stopping strike

The Bestest: they both seem to be trying for that show-stopping strike

And leaving themselves open in the process. The Fergusun guy seems better with the counters, so that could make the difference.

Well, one judge agreed.

I gave the second round to Yves, but I could see it going the other way.

Lyoto Machida is my favorite fighter. He is so entertaining to watch. I would love him to upset Bones.

That'd be cool, but then do we wind up in a weird cycle where Shogun turns around and beats Machida again? Or does Hendo get in the mix?

I want Anderson Silva to go steal the LHW belt. I think he could do it, and the lulz would be endless.

Also, Tito Ortiz vs. Little Nog? I'm not sure how I feel about that. I guess it kinda makes sense.

Then you're insane. One out of every 3 fights Lyoto actually dials it up and knocks some fool out, the rest of the time it's a point sparring match. I honestly don't understand how he gets away with it while GSP gets ripped.

I actually watched this season, and I've wanted this Dodson jackass to get knocked out because of his BS attitude the whole time. Unfortunately, he actually seems pretty good.

Yeah. Definitely missed that one. I actually let out a genuine holy... at the first punch and then a shiat... when he leaping-ground-farked him. Awesome.

I'm amazed Akira isn't in the final. He's the exact kind of douchebag Dana signs just because he's, well, a douchebag.

IIRC Akira was scheduled to fight but is injured.

Not sure how this will go... neither has a distinct advantage.

Machida's first 3 or 4 fights in the UFC were snoozers, but his last 6 or 7 have all been entertaining. And the difference is that Machida fights smart, whereas GSP fights not to lose.

Alright, let's do this!

Cripes Dillashaw if you're going to shoot then shoot. All he's doing is dropping his chin into Dobsons....and that's that.

well, ok then

Ooo... might've been a bit of a quick stoppage, but I REALLY doubt he could've gotten back on his feet. Dodsen still won.

Usually they give someone who is holding onto a leg a few seconds to clear the cobwebs.

I've seen worse stoppages though.

Meh, it always seems to me that Machida fights are good when his opponent makes them good. Take the Rua and Jacksons fights, they both took it to Machida and made him work whereas Evans just kept backing up and fighting defensively.

Oh and someone mute that dorks laugh.

Dodson reminds me of that ADD kid in elementary school (you know the one) who would do anything for attention, and no matter how much of a jackass he was, wouldn't get in serious trouble.

2011-12-03 09:40:25 PM
Personally I wanted to see Dodsen give Dana a big hug, just to see the look on Dana's face.

GimpyNip: I didn't watch UF this year but I did watch the first year. It used to be that the students would be the mainevent...did they change that? the first season set the bar so high anyway I guess it's impossible to expect anything close. I'm kind of annoyed I cheered for the monkey fighter though, his laugh pissed me off and now I'd like to see someone smash him.

This year he created all sorts of BS made-for-TV drama, and was playing spy for Bisping's team for awhile.

His last 7 fights-

7- Outpointed Ortiz easily, but nearly lost it by triangle before baaaaarely escaping. Technical display turned fun.

6- KO'd Thiago Silva with a diving straight right to the face with one second left in the first round. THIS is what makes him different than guys like GSP

5- KO'd rashad Evans, who's now widely regarded as the #1 contender again, and in the process made him look like some bum off the street. Evans was hopeless

4- Great 5-rounder with Rua

3- Got KTFO'd by Rua, probably by being more aggressive than he's used to

2- Lost to Rampage, probably because he over-corrected the aggression problem, but had him hurt in round 3 and jumped all over him in an effort to end it. Again, much different than a guy like GSP

1- Put Couture on every highlight reel for the next 20 years

Dude consistently puts on awesome fights, goes for the finish when it's there.
