Not anymore than my Superman chainsaw or Aquaman Enema Kit.

I do not like the Enterprise pizza cutter. I'd be as likely to slice my fingers as I would a pizza ;)

It's so sexist it wrapped back around and became awesome all on its own. Just like Wonder Woman. I don't even bake, and I want that f*cking mixer.

...

....

Wait a minute.

F*ck the mixer. I want a motorcycle with the Wonder Woman paint job.

My christmas list consists of
1. A cell phone as my current one is falling apart(literally, I have to change the tape every couple weeks)
2. A job of some description that dosnt completely suck
3. A passing grade in my History of England, the Empire, and the Commonwealth class.

How can you people afford the kind of stuff on that list?

By never having anything to do with your option three. Don't you have somewhere to occupy?

It's practically an economics class.

Modernist Cuisinewww.assoc-amazon.com is an affordable bit of uber nerd lit. At around $450 it's more likely than the Han Solo carbonite desk, and a couple steps up from a freaking pizza cutter.

I'm surprised to not see Geek Chic (new window) included in a list for executive nerdery. My solid walnut comicbook filing cabinet is the envy of my D&D party.

All of those look retarded.

I want the ESPN 30 for 30 box set, the mini-copter that you can control from an iPhone that shoots missiles, a coupon for a car detailing, and some cash money.

I'll be buying all my really cool shiat in a couple months when I'm ready to move in to my new place.

Wish I could afford to even write a list.

OK - I thought the old-school pinstriping on my KitchenAid was cool - but I now want the Wonder Woman KitchenAid with all my heart. That thing is, like, six different kinds of awesome.

I wonder if I could get one done at an auto painting shop...

I grow tired of people continually striving to define things materialistically so they can purchase their identity at a store. You either are or you aren't, owning specific items doesn't mean shiat.

My second thought was, "Too expensive to rub crayon on to make them readable"

Santa (my husband) said if I were really good, he'd bring me an e-reader and a canner. I didn't care for his tone when he said so. :D Now I want an adult big wheel too! Damned if I won't pedal that thing down the bike path to run errands nearby.

Well, you can go to the hobby shop and buy some black enamel paint and some thinner. Paint in the numbers and after they dry use a cotton swab, damp with paint thinner, to clean up the excess. It will look better than crayon...professional even.

I saw these and thought: I'll stick with my bag of dice that I've been adding to since I was 12. I think that alone is worth more "nerd cred" than any of this crap.

The secret passageway light switch is nifty, although I'd imagine fumbling in the dark to find the right book would be a pain in the ass. We need it to control something that's not a light, but still dramatic enough to be cool. A tv? A computer? A radio playing creepy organ music? Lame.
I can't recommend this product unless you have an actual secret passageway. Otherwise you'll just be disappointed every time you use it and it doesn't reveal a secret room full of treasure.

Not in and of it self, but I thought the writing in the article was just a touch.

As for getting it done yourself, a label shop that does vinyl decals would be a better option than an auto detail shop I would think.

well, I guess the bacon alarm clock is interesting, but it looks like it is based on EZBAKE oven technology and is only useful for heating up precooked bacon. Nice woodwork though! the timer trips a relay that turns on a 100 watt bulb that "cooks" the bacon. the theory is sound in practice and well thought out. if a bit sparse with acturaments.

cat hammock/ coffee table, dig it, it works, I like it. but a completely personal aesthetic level? i hate glass top coffee tables. its a dated modernist look who's time has passed.

the third one? for one, it is made of MDF, which should never be considered for any thing structural iMHO. looks good for gaming, but since it really doesn't double as anything except for a monolithic shelf, a bit impractical. if they faceted it with a bookshelf, that might be a bit better, otherwise, it comes off as a internet pr0n mastabatorium. other wise.. it could work well with a 5.1 surround sound system for modern and old school gaming, especially for flight sim and old school MAME based sit down arcade cabinets.

LED Head light slippers. simple, stupid, ingenious, we'll sell a million at $19.95, but how do we make a 30 minute info-mertial?

The last one? Mother-in-law jokes, like puns, are amongst the lowest form of humor. but it is tradition, so, Ill let it pass.

Not only are Zocchi dice incredibly hard to read, they roll _notoriously_ high. They have a reputation as cheater-dice around these parts.

I do not have a nerd card, nor do I want one.

A person can enjoy some geeky things without having to be a total nerd or worse, needing to prove you're more of a geek than the other guy.

Besides; Most things deemed nerdy or geeky today are actually totally mainstream, as is nerdiness and geekiness. Hell, I'd go so far as to say being a geek is so in fashion that plenty of non-geeks are claiming geekhood and latching on to the few mainstream hobbies that were once geeeky to prove it.

Video games, comic books, science fiction, fantasy, electronic gadgets, the Internet and cartoons are no longer geeky. They're mainstream now. Just like tattoos and piercings are no longer counter-culture, and "alternative music" is no longer the alternative to anything; It's mainstream now.

So despite my comic collection, despite my video games, and despite the fact that I am a published science fiction author, I am not a nerd and I have no nerd card. Nothing I do is all that unusual (well, not when it comes to hobbies, anyway), and my hobbies don't make me part of a special clique.

That said, nothing on that list is nerdy. Most of it is mainstream pop culture-related, in fact. Wonder Woman, Han Solo, Star Trek, Superman; Yes, pretty much everyone knows of these things, and many people who are not nerdy find them interesting or entertaining.

The items listed are kitschy, not nerdy.
