And if you turn to CBS at noon (eastern), you'll see the best game of the day.

Go Big Blue!

I don't think I've ever said this before, but GO BULLDOGS.

Just to break the BCS.

2011-12-03 12:07:28 PM
Subby, the BCS killed the sport so damn much that the general consensus is that this week of games means jack shiat because they've already booked LSU and Alabama to the title game even if LSU loses.

Which, if that happens, and assuming Houston gets past Southern Miss and wins their bowl game, is going to result in a "title" game in which there will be two teams, neither of which I think deserve the title.

2011-12-03 12:08:00 PM
I hope George beats LSU 45-10 and Okalahoma beats Oklahoma State 45-10, so that we can get an Alabama vs Stanford BCS national championship with two teams that didn't even win their conference divisions. :)

The BCS hasn't killed anything, stop being a farking drama queen.

So you're saying that if LSU were to lose, some other 1 loss team would be more deserving? Explain how that works if you don't mind.

Huh, Houston 3 and out.

Wrong. In my mind, if LSU loses and Houston runs the table, Houston is national champion. I've said it a million times here. Undefeated record overrides literally everything else as far as I'm concerned. Strength of schedule is irrelevant. You run the table, you're the champs. Two teams run the table, they're co-champs. That simple.

The BCS hasn't killed the sport. It's only left it bloodied and broken after forcing itself upon college football. It may be tarnished. It may be depressed and suffer from PTSD. It may smell of SEC musk in a shameful, shameful way. But it is still alive!

/for now.

If LSU loses, neither team in the title game will have won their conference. Yes, it's pretty easy to argue that two teams who actually won their conferences deserve to play to be considered the best team in the game.

That looks like the worst show ever made.

You're 100% wrong and I'll point to the polls to prove my assertion.

Yeah, the polls that half the voters don't give a fark enough to fill out on their own. That's certainly an ironclad, indisputable thing.

FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!!

2011-12-03 12:20:34 PM
why wasn't there a thread for that joke of a PAC-12 championship last night?

2011-12-03 12:20:35 PM
Houston vs Southern Miss is getting interesting already.

2011-12-03 12:22:14 PM
Houston playing with some nerves.

2011-12-03 12:24:05 PM
I'm partly not going to be watching because I'll be at work, but partly because the only game that matters in the slightest is Oklahoma State vs. Oklahoma. An OK State blowout win might keep Alabama from getting its completely undeserved rematch.

2011-12-03 12:26:28 PM
how was that not a facemask ?

I subbed one, but it was redlit pretty quick.

Man, is it me or is finding out where Case Keenum lives more interesting than the last 10 minutes of this game?

2011-12-03 12:36:11 PM
I wish he'd stop calling it NASCAR

/and I like NASCAR

Classic Frank Solich. I liked Frank. The way he got fired at Nebraska was crappy. However, he didn't accomplish jack after Osborne's recruits graduated. Ohio's a good fit for him, though. Despite last night's second-half atrocity he's made that program respectable. I'm just glad he's not coaching the Huskers anymore for coaching performances like last night.

2011-12-03 12:38:56 PM
And again, the bcs is still better than shiatty teams getting NC by playing shiat teams like in 1984.

2011-12-03 12:40:21 PM
Hmmmm....I think we've got a game here.

2011-12-03 12:40:40 PM
Keenum looking every bit the Heisman candidate.

In other news, goddammit Ohio U.

Fark 'em Bucky!

I'd also like to see UGA win and watch the BCS computers explode trying to get LSU into the NCG.

Anybody know why is ISU vs KSU delayed? I'm assuming lightning or something...?

Just saw it on ESPN.com.

The ESPN 2 commentators could not have shown more bias towards NIU.

/Ohio University is still a better school
