He was indeed.

BTW-when I was reading the TMZ article it showed him in a classic Twilight Episode, "The Masks". Until now I didn't realize that was him.

I don't think anyone today could be called "Uncle Al, the Kiddies' Pal" without being a pedophile.

Dude. that was my first indication he was queer.
As a kid, I had no problem with this.
He wasn't my coach, of course.
He was just one of those "different" adults,.

I never understood why he didn't have more of a serious acting career.

Alan Sues reminded me of my uncle, who was also gay.

Loved me some "Laugh-In."
"News of the Future, Los Angeles, California, 1988." A few of those were uncanny.

I was a kid in my footy pj's and remember staying up to watch "Laugh In" on what...Thursday nights? I loved Lily Tomlin in that show...she's all I really rememember at this moment. About the same era was the Flip Wilson Show, I think.

Get off my lawn.

One little known fact about Alan Sues: Alan and Laugh-In costar Jo Anne Worley were the first two intergender boxers on television. Although they were doing a comedy skit, it was athletic enough to qualify as a real boxing match or something like that.

2011-12-03 04:43:12 AM
I can't see how it could be a real boxing match unless Alan was really trying to knock Jo Anne out.

They threw some real punches at each other. I remember Jo Anne mentioning that her breasts hurt awhile after the spar was over.

It was so damn grim living in this country until Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In came along. Remember that we had that senseless war going on, some of the best hopes for our society gunned down by first class wankers, and Nixon's mischief. Laugh-In kept us all bloody sane.

But then Laugh-In was cancelled, Gerald Ford was trying his best to bring together a divided country, and we were in the dumps again.

But then came streaking and we were saved once again :)

Your mother was...wrong.

And to the Farker who mentioned Judy Carne? Yep. Also, there was a huge-boobed eye candy chick on the show. Don't recall her name. Off to Wikipedia.

Aarrgghh. I can't find a name that rings a bell. Maybe I'm thinking of some big-boobed blonde chick who was on Hee Haw. Still have vivid memories as a 15-16 y/o watching Laugh-In back in '72-'73.

I'll always remember him as the sportscaster Big Al.
