Either that, or for him to get caught in bed with a male prostitute.

How is that ignorant of DNA testing? I didn't say I'd like them to claim it was his if it wasn't.

Also, that dude did a Super Bowl commercial where the message was basically "Hey ladies, you shouldn't have an abortion even if you might be dying, because you could get lucky and end up with a baby as awesome as me, Tim Tebow."

I'm comfortable with disliking anyone who would do that.

My sister's college roommate, who is a smoking gorgeous no-man-can-say-no looking woman, visited University of Florida during the 2008 season. The Florida student that she was visiting was a cheerleader, so they of course went to a football party after the game on Saturday. Tebow couldn't keep his eyes off of her. He kept bonging non-alcoholic beers and then he'd scream at the top of his lungs as though he'd just won another Championship. All night, he's just eye-raping her, up and down, up and down, but he won't come and talk to her no matter how flirty she returned his glances. Finally, toward the end of the night, she goes up and just lays it on him, pretending to be drunk, throwing herself at him, trying to kiss him, though he kept turning his other cheek. After much persuasion, he finally agrees to take her back up to his room.

Once there, she lays down on the bed. Tebow goes into the bathroom and closes the door. He's in there for like twenty minutes. She hears him brushing his teeth, gargling, brushing his teeth again, quietly praying. She wants to deflower him, so she takes off all her close and lays seductively across the bed. Finally, Tebow comes out. He's wearing footed pajamas and holding a dripping, warm wash cloth. She's like, "What do you want me to do with that?" He says, "Just close your eyes and hold the washcloth in your hand." Playing along, she does it. He ends up sticking his dick in the warm washcloth and slowly humping it. She's thinks, ok whatever and holds on. Just when she thinks he's about to blow, he says, "enough, enough, get out of here," and he runs back into the bathroom. She hears the shower turn on, and then a groaning scream. "fark this," she thinks, gets dressed and gets out of there.

So, no, I don't think Tebow has ever been with a woman. He would've killed himself by now.

That's what YOU saw in the ad. You do realize that that was his experience and that it is possible to be morally against abortion. Not everyone shares your opinion that it is a form of birth control. While I agree the a woman has the right to choose, we as a society should also have the right to shame her for being so irresponsible. Society has many problems now because of participation trophies for men that validate their poor performance and free abortions for the women who can't take moral and social responsibility for their actions. But go ahead and hate Tebow for spreading a message that he believes and that he experienced. Next time you're at the clinic make sure not to pick up the next Sports Illustrated with him on the cover.

What should you do for a woman if she tells you she had an abortion (non-rape or incest)? Get her a Hallmark Card?
Congrats on you loss. I bet YOU feel 5 pounds lighter. Horray for drinking again!

Hell, all Tebow did was present a natural alternative to abortion and for that you are so upset that you want a dozen women to manipulate and extort him. Who is setting Women's Lib back here? You or Tebow?

GimpyNip: What should you do for a woman if she tells you she had an abortion (non-rape or incest)? Get her a Hallmark Card?

How about keep your mouth shut and not say anything? Or possibly ask them why and really listen? And maybe recognize that your opinion doesn't really matter to her because it's a personal decision that has nothing to do with you?

GimpyNip: Hell, all Tebow did was present a natural alternative to abortion and for that you are so upset that you want a dozen women to manipulate and extort him.

I probably shouldn't have said that. But I do hope that dude has some experiences that make him figure out that his weirdly narrow view of the world is really privileged and really condescending and ridiculous. Whatever those experiences may be. And I'd like it if he could recognize that the ability to throw a football doesn't confer any great understanding of the world on the person doing it, and perhaps a little less ostentation about his beliefs would be a good idea.

I was an equipment manager for the Gators during the 2007 season. My personal interactions with Tebow were pretty limited, but there were things that were kind of known on campus and around Gainesville. For one thing, hes not the complete goody two shoes everyone makes him out to be. He may be a "virgin" in his own eyes, but he has had sex with a few girls, just not vaginal. Actually the majority of girls he dated were baptists who claimed to be virgins but took it in the ass frequently. Tebows been with a lot girls. Hes been with a lot of guys too. Just last night he was with his momma and Coach Klein at the same time. There was also the time I walked into the locker room and he was having sex with a boy about 10 years old in the shower. I called my dad, he told me to tell Urban Meyer...I think I did my duty. Hopefully they were able to get justice for the kid who should remain anonymous so I will just call him J. Bieber. I'm not sure how it turned out because later that week I transferred to University of Nebraska. So in conclusion you should never judge a book by its cover.

spentmiles: My sister's college roommate, who is a smoking gorgeous no-man-can-say-no looking woman, visited University of Florida during the 2008 season.

Ya know, I have to disagree with that POV. I think if you are ghey or a woman who values your reproductive freedom, you should absolutely care about Tim Tebow.

Tim Tebow has become a cultural idol of the Christian evangelical movement. The same group of people who relentlessly pursue restrictions on ghey and reproductive rights, are the same people who are idolizing Tebow. They are the reason, even if you don't follow football or sports in general, that you may have heard of him. It is important know thy enemy and all that...

GimpyNip, never leave Fark again, man!

I like having someone else who can accept others' opinions as those instead of claiming that they're trying to convert the world.

Focus on the Family might be trying to outlaw abortion. Tebow believes it's wrong and has his own personal reasons for believing so. You'd laud another professional athlete for coming forth and taking a stand on such an issue if he were on your side.

For the ad's sake, it wasn't nearly as controversial as people made it out to be - it effectively was a "before you go out and decide to do something that you'll never be able to take back, consider what you might be giving up." And you should do that before you make huge, life-altering decisions.

Furthermore, the ad ran all of once that I know of, several years ago. Get over it.

evangelical Christians =/= 'regular' Christians

I certainly would only be mildly annoyed by the constant media hype of Tebow if he wasn't QBing the team I follow. But, I live in Denver and not only do I get to enjoy a spectacularly boring and pedestrian offense which I do not believe is anything more flash-in-the-pan, I get to enjoy a bunch of evangelical bandwaggoners on top of it. Keep your religion out of my football and I'll keep my contempt for your pushy form of religion out of my rants.

Yup.

Imagine what will happen when there is the first openly gay NFL player. Would it be OK to be upset about all those troublesome queers flocking to be fans of that player's team? After all, they are all in your face about being gay. Oh, wait, saying something like that would be incredibly uncool.

I am an agnostic bordering on atheist. My BS sensors go up whenever anybody mentions their "god" in any capacity. But at the same time I'm OK with anyone living their life the way they see fit as long as they're not bothering others. Tebow isn't the "this is what I believe and SO SHOULD YOU!!!" Evangelical. What he believes works for him and he doesn't try to push it on others nonstop. He's not like Kurt Warner who used to hand out scripture on cards to press members interviewing him or like Jon Kitna wearing a hat with a cross on it instead of his team's logo. And even they didn't bother me so much - except for Warner who is/was so overrated it's not even funny, but that's a football issue and not a religion issue. I get the sense that Tebow is 100% genuine, unlike politicians and megachurch pastors who exploit their religion for personal gain. I could be wrong, but at the same time I'd rather be wrong and not paranoid than the alternative.

If I were going to hate people for their beliefes, especially ones that are fairly typical in American culture, I'd have stopped talking to family, friends, and clients long before I got all butthurt by whatever it is the Tebow believes. I don't belong to a cult so I'm pretty used to dealing with and tolerating all sorts of opinions I agree or disagree with on a variety of levels. I guess everyone needs their totem to piss on but Tebow's views aren't even close to being catastrophically awful or inherently mean spirited or apprehensible so what the fark ever. I don't know how some of you get by in society if you let people disagreements bother you that much. Do you insulate yourselves in a coven of like minded individuals who have strictly atheist views are about opposed to anything even marginally conservative? That kind of sounds like its own religion.

Yeah, I probably should just let it go. My family is full of hateful, ignorant evangelicals who didn't give a crap about football until Tebow showed up in a Broncos jersey and now I'm getting another wave of godspiel based on him. Not Tebow's fault, of course, but its wrecking my enjoyment of the Broncos resurgence and it's making me bitter. Pile on top of that the ridiculous amount of hype that surrounds his mediocrity and the boring ass offense that the Broncos are running...... Crap, this year is sucktactular, when it shouldn't be. meh, I'm gonna go make dinner for my girl and chase her around the bedroom a couple times....

I'm completely non-religious. I'm a pedestrian. When I feel spiritual, I take a walk. I'm fine with Tebow being all about his beliefs, and am thoroughly impressed by his accomplishments, and how he handles himself. He's jamming right now, and it's fairly awesome. Haven't heard a thing about him going off about the whole 'Tebowing' thing, which is clearly hilarious. He talks the talk, and walks the walk. That's how the world works. Performance is rewarded, baby. Regardless of age, creed, color, national origin, or which deity you choose to embrace.

/Fox and Elway look better than they did 2 months ago, right?

Ow! That was my feelings!: Pile on top of that the ridiculous amount of hype that surrounds his mediocrity and the boring ass offense that the Broncos are running.....

They were running a boring offense before, too.

Points per half have gone up from Orton to Tebow (especially when you remove defensive/special teams points).

As a Bronco fan, I'm getting a very satisfying kick out of each and every Tebow thread. Even more satisfying is that Tebow haters can't help but post in these threads too. You know you're addicted and hanker for even more Tebow threads! Love it! My Broncos are making bank off our Tebow, so he was clearly a wise first round pick!

/More glory after my Broncos beat the ViQueens!

Unlike Kurt Warner, who I eventually wanted to make STFU, Tim Tebow is largely keeping his mouth shut except when he's answering direct questions. ESPN and SI are the ones who won't shut up.

Having grown up in a similar background as Tebow, I'm inclined to think that there's a good chance that he wishes everybody would stop making a big deal about how wonderful he is. It's obviously a much smaller scale, but through no efforts on our part my siblings and I would up being seen as the homeschool poster children in our community, and it's difficult to figure out how to navigate an environment where you're seen as the representative of an entire movement. I graduated high school over a decade ago, went off to college, lived and worked overseas, have done all sorts of things in my life, and I still occasionally have people throw the whole "good Christian homeschool poster child" thing at me if I voice an opinion other than the one they think a good Christian homeschool poster child should have. And I don't have to deal with my mom running around the country taking religious right speaking gigs entirely on the basis of being "Rynthetyn's mom". Tebow's in a no-win situation, and all things considered I think he's been handling it as well as he can.

Incidentally, I think somebody at ESPN has a hard on for former missionary kids, because back when they still carried hockey they talked so much about Robyn Regehr being a missionary kid who was born in Brazil and lived in Indonesia that I wanted to throw something at the TV.

Absolutely this. He might throw a thanks to God into an interview, but, much like the Farve "retirement saga" this is mainly a product of ESPN needing to fill 960 hours a day of programming on the TV and radio empire.

The kid stands up for what he believes, he lives his life like he believes, and people who dont are going to hate/mock him for it.

He doesent push anything on anyone. Do you think he LIKES the fact that everyone knows about his virginity and discusses it on Fark, to the point of making up stories about washcloths or stories about equiment managers moving to Nebraska? Would you want YOUR beliefs (whatever they are) thought of FIRST everytime anyone saw you? This cannot be easy for him, but he does not shy away from it. How can you not respect a man who does not take the easy route when it comes to his beliefs, no matter WHAT you believe?

Pluse, you have to love people who shake things up. Im calling my next kid Tebow.

/Not officially, just behind the wifes back.

I sound fat: He doesent push anything on anyone.

He appeared in an anti-abortion ad for freaking Focus on the Family that ran during the Super Bowl. That's pretty damned pushy.

That ad was neither anti-abortion nor openly religious in any way. Yeah FotF is a despicable organization but I'll give Tebow a pass for that because the way he was raised gives him a much different perspective on them than we have. I think he realized after the backlash that FotF is widely despised but I can definitely see how he wouldn't know that before associating with them.

In other words, take the sand out of your vagina. The ad was not at all what you make it out to be and not everyone shares your perspective on everything.

Not sure what "Tebowing" is, but I'm going to assume that this involves a baby crying after being spanked by Nick Saban.

Genevieve Marie: I keep waiting for some enterprising woman or 12 to get pregnant with Tebow's baby, and be all like... well, you don't believe in abortion so... pony up.

Either that, or for him to get caught in bed with a male prostitute.

Genuine adult virgins-by-choice do exist, but it ain't pretty. (new window)

Really? Googling them just comes up with a few links to their website and other simliarly-inclined sites and groups. Look, I know why they suck and clearly so do you. But someone brought up in a super-religious bubble is not likely to understand why FotF is despised outside of their bubble. Again, it's unbelievable that you can't understand this.

Very much this. Heck, given his age, he probably mainly associates FotF with their "Adventures in Odyssey" Saturday morning radio series for kids. Most of the people who sing the praises of FotF aren't even particularly aware of their political side, or of their ties to ex-gay groups, or any of the other nasty stuff they do, they just think of them as a group that helps strengthen families.

I grew up in that bubble, it was only after I got out of the bubble that I knew there was any real criticism of the organization.
