Huntsman's campaign might not be gaining much traction, but his media team is awesome.

WhoIsWillo: Huntsman's campaign might not be gaining much traction, but his media team is awesome.

I have a feeling it's going to be so bad that it will be a good decision in retrospect.

Is there any further proof necessary that Huntsman is, by far, the best choice among the Republican candidates? Which, of course, is why he's polling only slightly above a kick in the nuts among Republican voters.

Sponsored by Newsmax, hosted by Trump?

I may have to watch this. The derp could be unsurpassed.

I wonder if they will have an intermission for the Floor-Humping Dance Team to entertain the audience.

Cyberluddite: he's polling only slightly above a kick in the nuts among Republican voters.

I guess if he wanted to campaign by jacking off on a stack of bibles while shooting Mexicans and tossing their corpses over the border, he might get a few more votes.

I doubt he'd stoop to the GOP base's level, though.

How is this the first I'm hearing about this debate? This could be the lulziest thing that happens in the whole campaign cycle. We should start coming up with the rules for the drinking game, like, now.

There's one tomorrow, but it's on FoxNews and will be moderated by Huckabee. It will be derpful as well I'm sure.

Eh, he has a lot of really, really dumb positions. I'd prefer Johnson over Huntsman. But either way, they're the kind of opponents you want and that are good for the country: they're honestly working for their constituency, even if their ideas are a bit farked up. I can see Huntsman changing his mind on something like Net Neutrality if someone sat down and explained it to him. I can't see any of the frontrunners of being capable of that (well, other than Romney, but that's for a different reason entirely).

Is that even possible at this point? I mean, how can it be funnier than the "oops" moment, or watching people flock to Newt because of Cain's sex scandals?

Good for him. Debating a frontrunner one-on-one (as nauseating as the concept of Newt as a frontrunner might be) can only raise Huntsman's status.

Does Obama's smack down on Trump count? If so that's still the zenith of pointlessly amazing showmanship in politics this season.

2011-12-02 05:23:42 PM
Huntsman would be Obama's greatest threat to the Presidency, which is why our Chessmaster President picked him to serve as our Ambassador to China, and the dumb@$$ GOP did not get keen on him. I would consider voting for the dude.

In the end, the GOP proved our President right. Obama 2012.

I think I would rather have Buddy Roemer or Gary Johnson in the White House over Huntsman, but I think he would be a very reasonable choice for president. That said, I wish he would not have raised his hand at the one debate when they asked if anyone would take a 10:1 spending versus taxes deal to cut the deficit. That and his unabashed support of the Ryan budget were his only two faux pas in my mind.

Another debate? After all the debates there have been up until now, if the voters haven't decided who they will vote for come primary day then how can more debates help?

Not that any of them will defeat Obama anyways.

Do you remember the Court-TV-style comedy sketch from many years ago making fun of Mike Tyson's trial, where the defense introduced a new piece of evidence in the form of Mike Tyson unzipping and pulling out little mikey (censored obviously) to attempt to explain what happened, and everyone was agog, and the prosecutor kept trying to explain, "It's not the size that matters! It's what you do with it!" to stop the shocked reaction? I can't remember if it was on In Living Color or Saturday Night Live, or possibly some other show.

I expect this debate to go something like that, or to look like one of the many scenes from Mike Judge's Idiocracy where the government officials are doing official stuff.

Too low key.

He ejects from a fighter jet and parachutes to his podium accompanied by "Rock You Like A Hurricane."

You know when a really awesomely vicious and apt satire goes just a bit too far, and crosses the threshold from satire into slapstick farce, and your ability to maintain suspension of disbelief crumbles?

Yeah, the GOP race hit that with the Trump Debate. I mean, really, guys. I love this show you're putting on for us. I love that you're all staying in character with more determination than Andy Kaufman. You've really illuminated the heart of what's farked up about your party and our culture. But geez -- can you use a bit of a lighter touch? You just lost credibility.

Wow. Go Huntsman.

Holy hell. Ill watch that. Huntsman is my guy for the GOP nomination.

Newt is the only other candidate that actually knows a thing or two about the issues. The rest contort logic and employ incendiary rhetoric to incite the teahadists. Newt is wrong on issues, but at least his positions are thought out intellectually. Rather than the herpty-derp spewed by the rest of the GOP crowd.

Should only raise huntsman's stock.

He's also the only Republican candidate who completely endorses the Ryan Plan 100%.

As in Paul Ryan's budget proposal? Just when I had a little bit of hope that there was maybe a GOP candidate who's not a complete farktard, Huntsman went and did that? Goddamnitsomuch. Even many conservative economists know it's idiotic. Yes, the Ryan plan: accelerate the already exploding gap between the richest Americans and everyone else while farking over everyone else for good measure. Win!
