This has to piss off Sarah Palin; I mean, Trump is ... well, *trumping* her shtick at every possible opportunity.

The (barely) flaxen-haired businessman is teaming up with the conservative news website Newsmax to moderate a debate in Iowa on December 27, the New York Times reports.

Oh, for chrissake. December 27? DECEMBER 27?!? You goddamn idiots can't wait until after New Year's to have another goddamn debate? It's the Christmas season. Can't these goddamn chuckleheads and this gaudy jackhole wait a goddamn week so people can enjoy the goddamn holiday for a few more days?

2011-12-02 02:02:35 PM
And the candidates are actually agreeing to this? Really?

No it is a full frontal assault in Fox's war on Christmas

interesting that newsmax is willing to put its journalistic integrity in donald trump's hands.

Donald Trump to moderate a GOP debate. How long till play 'So you want to be president of the United States?'

I think a more appropriate game would be "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader"

The Iowa caucuses take place on January 3rd (new window). Everyone needs another shot at appealing to the lowest common denominator in their respective ideological demographic while drinking corn lattes spiked with ethanol and eating pig ears while pistolwhipping Mexican Muslim immigrants from North Korea.

January 3rd? Iowa is doing more to fight the War on Christmas than all the Holiday Trees combined.

I know. I can't believe this is happening either. Perhaps Jesus will send a snowstorm or an iceberg or a giant sleetshark to eat everyone for doing this.

I think Gary Busey should moderate a GOP debate.

Is it really a "debate" if the the moderator is the only one who talks?

2011-12-02 03:24:35 PM
All these debates are doing is giving Obama a shiatload of stuff he can use against whichever person wins the candidacy. If I was Obama's Campaign Manager, I would hire an actor to memorize each and every speaking point of a particular speaker. They have over 20 debates worth of material. I would have practice debates until Obama develops at least 62 separate ways to make them look like an idiot.

Despite all of Obama's public addresses, Conservative campaign Managers, have no recent debate material to work off of. Obama won't be bound/pigeon holed to any specific speaking points. All Obama has to do is approach the debate slightly different than expected with a few original twists on each subject/question and attack the Conservative candidate on their "strengths". I almost feel sorry for any candidate who goes up against Obama in a debate after showing all their cards over and over again. Plus (for the first time), they will have an audience which isn't 100% full of idiots.

See, this right here. This is why I can't believe in God. There is simply no way that God would make us suffer this farking much

If I were making an attack ad for the Democrats, I'd definitely use this. Say Romney gets the nomination. I'd get the scary-sounding voiceover guy to say this over some stark black and white photos of him grimacing:

"Mitt Romney... as a businessman with Bain Capital, he made millions laying people off. As governor, he enacted healthcare reform that he now claims to oppose. And, as a candidate for president, he once participated in a debate MODERATED BY DONALD FARKING TRUMP."

2011-12-02 04:06:21 PM
I would say that this has descended into farce. But that happened months ago.

I think Trump has proven his ability to select effective candidates. The GOP should skip the primary process and just have him figure out who he wants to nominate.

Perfect.

Ion Television. Really? Back when there was such a thing as UHF, they were the UHF channel with the highest number and worst reception (they were called PAX then). You know, past the three PBS stations, the two channels in Chinese, and the all-informercial channel.

You can't deny that this would be more interesting and tune in worthy than one hosted by douche blitzer or the other tards that have been moderating them.

In the "watching the aftermatch of a 20 car pileup on the freeway" sort of interesting, yes.

At least people have to know how to spell or price items on those shows. This is more akin to Survivor, where empty promises, good looks, and pandering play better than knowledge, strategy, skill, or viability of ideas.

2011-12-02 04:23:31 PM
This shouldn't only embarrass republicans but all Americans. I don't think I have been this ashamed of my country in my lifetime.
