He's large enough and completely politically damaged at this point that he might actually throw him under the bus in an attempt to grandstand that they are trying to hold people accountable.

Meanwhile, Citibank may only pay 250m fine for losing billions but then again, they had the foresight to buy their politicians lock, stock, and barrel.

hmmm....so I wonder if Corzine will throw someone else under the bus to save his own ass?

I predict that he'll be given a strongly worded letter and be made to promise never to steal $1.2b ever again.

Actually prosecuting and jailing powerful Wall St. executives and/or politicians would set a bad precedent.

I was surprised when Kozlowski was convicted. If the Powers That Be decide that Corzine would make a better sacrifice than an ally then he'd better get ready for some jail time.

This guy can't possibly be guilty, he's a Democrat. Everybody knows it's only the mean ol' Republicans who steal money on Wall Street.

He'll get a slap on the wrist.

Congress knows better than to upset Wall Street.

GaryPDX: The smartest guy on Wall Street.

At least he was just an adviser in the private sector, not an acting secretary of the treasury giving private fireside chats to all his former GS buddies at banks and hedge funds around the world.

His name was Henry Paulson, and incidentally he was the architect of that TARP thingy you teabaggers like to whinge on about. If there is any justice he, Corzine and Blankfein will all share the same prison cell.

It's a little easier to not talk from a villa in the Caribbean.
