Well, we haven't reached our weekly quota.

Like Sarah Palin in her heyday or the Pittsburgh Steelers last year, there's a certain amount that need to be made.

The Eagles are the only team to ever lose to Joe Webb and Tavaris Jackson in the same calendar year.

Supposedly this time it was LeSean McCoy saying something along the lines of "That's a good team over there, but we think we're a much better team. We've got a lot more talent than they do, we just gave the game away" or something.

/I suppose he might be the only one allowed to say something along those lines after getting 130 overall yards and 2 TD...but he shouldn't talk about the rest of the team as though they're good, too

Is Drew desperate for hits or something? I mean this is starting to become pathological here. If i were the Bronco's defense I would be getting so pissed that all the attention is going to this guy instead of where it belongs i. e. Von Miller and the rest of the defense. They are the reason that the Bronco's are winning, not this mediocre attention whore of a QB.

Despite all that, McCoy wasn't even the best RB in that game.

In fairness, if McCoy got to play against the Eagles' weak-ass D he'd probably go for 200+.

Not according to footballoutsiders. Tebow's passing stats aren't that great but he's helped make the Broncos a much better offensive team than they were under Orton. Even more improvement than the defense has shown.

/but don't let statistical analysis fool you if it disagrees with your hatred of Tebow

regindyn: Well, they certainly gave that game away...but if they hadn't, they still might've lost

Ummm no. They had a two-possession lead in the 4th quarter. They were clearly the dominant team for the entire game. They had the goddamn ball with a two-possession lead and half a quarter left and the Pats hadn't done anything against the defense.

If Americans cared about football the way other countries care about soccer, McCree would have been dragged from his car and beaten to death within a day or so of that game ending. I still f*ckin' hate that guy and his bullsh*t "I would do it again." What a stupid asshole. That's the dumbest thing I ever heard.

I did not see a "greater than" mathematics symbol in your post. Nor did I see a rant about seeing too many Tebow threads. Or a rant about not caring about Tebow despite a compulsion to post about him. I didnt even see a tantrum about Tebow trying to act like abortions are barbaric. Nor one saying the Broncos would have way more wins if only they had started Orton or Quinn more. Also something about becoming physically ill because Tebow invented circle prayers on the gridiron just to piss people off. You need those too to complete the Tebow thread exacta.

From what I hear they are quite happy with the situation. Apparently opposing teams are spending a lot more of their game prep focusing on taking Tebow out, and not so much on what the Denver defense can do.... which plays right into their hands.

2011-12-02 04:05:06 PM
Couldn't we have Tebow and (fill in more traditional QB who isn't a complete pansy) on the field, standing side by side, but then the snap receiver for that play takes one step to the left/right pre-snap (making the snap receiver the man in motion)?

I'm not a true football mind, so I have no idea if this would cause defensive coordinators to asplode or would cause playbooks to spontaneously burn (i.e. it's not really workable), but I can't be the first to think of that. I won't even go into the ego battles but it seems Tebow doesn't seem to be a prima donna. So yeah, I'm sure I'll get flamed to oblivion and back ... but maybe it's not *quite* a pipe dream

http://www.annarbor.com/sports/um-football/michigan-football-versus-m i nnesota-gophers-sidebar-2-brown-jug/

But whatever, the guy's 5-1 as a starter, so until he starts losing, the haters (*) don't really have that much room to operate.

(*) Except the ones who dislike his open religiousness. They're going to hate even if he starts putting up 70% completion rates.
