There are moderate Republicans? Why?

2011-12-02 08:58:02 AM
It's almost like they're evolving. Except we know that's not possible because the Bible says so.

Can someone define for me what a moderate (or even liberal) Republican is? I don't see what the Republican party offers to moderates. All I ever see from that party is pandering to far-right extremists.

However, the figures drop when Republican respondents were asked whether global warming was caused by human activity in particular - only 19 percent agree with the notion. Among those Republicans who agree with the tea party, only 11 percent said that global warming was man-made; among those who disagree with the tea party, the figure jumps to 28 percent.

Meanwhile, a majority of independents and Democrats believe that there is solid evidence that the earth is warming. Pew found 77 percent of Democrats and 63 percent of independents agree with the notion.

However, neither group is as certain that global warming is caused by human activity - only 51 percent of Democrats and 40 percent of independents agree with the concept.

Someone who hates some/all of the GOPs policys but votes for them anyway, because that's what their parents did. Or possibly because of Jesus.

While volcanoes Do emit CO2 in the eruptions, they mostly spew dust and ash, which obscures sunlight to a large degree. The Krakatoa eruption, for instance, screwed with the weather to such a degree that the next year was known as the "Year with no summer". There is actual evidence that volcanoes, to a small degree, can reduce the effects of global warming for a small period after eruption, if big enough.

Fart HUSSEIN Bongo, Copernicus and the rest of the libtards have been attempting to indoctrinate our children to their warped heliocentric world view for hundreds of years. I may not be some lib scientist, but I have two eyes and I can see that the sun moves around us. That's why I pulled my youngins out of that public school and teach them at home. You think they were going to learn that Jesus created the number 4 when they can't even pray in class?

I'm a moderate republican.what it means is I vote for the least crazy guy in the primaries, then when he loses I end up voting for the democrat or a third party in the main election or at least that's been the case since about 06.

My question to you would be, why do you still consider yourself a Republican. To me it seems that the GOP left any semblance of conservatism behind quite a while ago.

Ok, so, in your mind, how do we move the goal posts back so your party isn't so drool-tastic? I mean, these people are protecting two types of people: 1%ers and Jesus-lovers. They don't seem to think there is anyone else. Do we need to take them on a Travels with Charlie type tour of America? Or does a thorough ass-raping in 2012, if one occurs, provide them with proof that they need to go a little closer to center rather than rimjobbing the milky way galaxy?

You'd need to get moderates and non aligned people (in states that slow them to vote in primaries) to actually show up and vote in primaries.

So...no real chance.

Volcanoes like the ones in Iceland have huge glaciers over the craters, so an eruption releases lots of water vapor, also a greenhouse gas. Not sure about any other greenhouse gas, most of the stuff released is SO2 and not sure about it's effects and CO2/CO to a smaller degree. But like i mentioned earlier, the ash and dust released by such an eruption acts as a deflective force for heat entering the atmosphere. Remember what people said about "nuclear winter"? basically that kind of effect, without the radiation.

They aren't really 'protecting' Jesus-lovers, they just know those folks are easily riled up and extremely gullible so they throw them a bone every so often to keep them voting against their own economic interests.

What, many still object to global warming as a concept at all? Not just human influence, but the fact that the planet does get hotter or is at the moment?

How is that up for debate at all? Sometimes shiat gets hotter, sometimes shiat gets colder. There's no wiggle room there. It's binary and cyclical.
