Not that it really mattered, since I doubt 9-7 will be good enough for the playoffs in the NFC this year.

This is the team the Redskins beat last week?

kronicfeld: This is the team the Redskins beat last week?

Yeah, Seattle really blew a shot, if they'd have been 6-6 now, they would have had a chance going down the stretch, although beating SF would have been a tall order, other than by Week 16, SF might be entrenched in the #2 spot and not playing as hard.

C'mon team.
Lets get a decent draft pick, fire andy, and have someone ELSE pick someone.

Yes, let's fire the guy who's coached the team to the playoffs nine of the past eleven seasons, and just had five straight winning seasons. One off year is certainly cause to shiatcan the guy, blow up the team, and start over from scratch. Maybe the fans should have spoken up when the team decided it wanted to throw a bunch of money at Michael Vick and Vince Young and sell jerseys rather than win games.

Jim Johnson is the only reason the Eagles were competitive from 2000-2008.

Andy Reid is a moron.

The Eagles will never be better than 8-8 as long as he's here.

2011-12-02 12:13:28 PM
So Reid is getting fired shortly, right?

2011-12-02 12:20:25 PM
It was nice to see a QB put up such a strong Delhomme Rating (TM) in the early game. Really builds the drama for the rest of the games.

Maybe those teams made the playoffs in spite of Andy's terrible play calling, piss-poor time management, and "failure to put players in position to make plays".

Donovan McNabb and Ray Rhodes might have something to say about your assertion that Jim Johnson is the "only reason" they were any good. But, yeah, Andy Reid is incredibly overrated in every aspect, from coaching to player development to talent evaluation. He would be a very good to great college coach for a team like BYU or Boise State.

Just don't tell LeSean McCoy.

But they still managed to beat the Giants. Damn it all.

Also, nothing can surprise me in a Seattle home game. It doesn't matter how bad the Seahawks may be, wacky shiat happens there. I haven't forgot about that time the Giants went there and had something like 12 false starts.

Eagles got run over by the Seahawks
On their way to a dismal record.

But as for Vick and Reid they believe

I feel Vince is really come around and now is the time to really open up the passing game. Its not like Philly has a good running game they can lean on while their backup qb is in the game.

Behold the offensive genius of Andy Reid.

Farking Kubiak knows how to protect a backup qb. Gary Kubiak!

One off year? Pal, this is no time to be in nostalgic denial. The wheels have come off.

Reid ain't no Vince Lombardi. Get over it.

Four and Eight; no playoff berth
Reid looks for new job

There is negative eleventy % chance DeSean suits in an Eagles uniform next year.

How is he already in massive debt?

As I said on Twitter:

F*ck "questionable." Couldn't keep up with the reports for the day because it was my wife's birthday and I had better things to do, but I figure "questionable" means he should be at least a little hampered and the Seahawks' run D is good.

I can't afford a 0 in a RB spot so I bench him, of course.

/so he gets 29 points in my league, one of his highest scores of the year
//so I'm glad the Eagles' season got sh*t on more than even my fantasy team

Friends, countrymen, I come not to praise the Eagles but to bury the sonso'biatches.

/then piss on their grave
//then shiat on it

As a Redskins fan; I'm ok with this.

As a Marshawn Lynch fantasy owner; I'm ok with this.

2011-12-02 12:36:58 PM
Philly sure sqandered a lot of talent and resources to build a roster that doesnt play as a team. Hell they somehow even managed to ruin Asomugha so bad that Tavaris Jackson can throw on him. I didnt even think that was possible.

2011-12-02 12:37:59 PM
Dang, Eagles, with that record you'll be fighting the Browns for draft position.

/that may be the most cruel thing I've ever posted on the internet.

According to Howard Eskin of WIP speaking to Florio on PFT Live Monday, [DeSean] Jackson has serious financial issues.

"From what I'm told, [Jackson] owes Drew Rosenhaus a lot of money. . . . We're talking hundreds of thousands of dollars. Is he broke? I don't know how you define broke, but I know when he signs his new deal he will owe Drew Rosenhaus a lot of money."

Eskin claims that Jackson is using a credit card from Rosenhaus to get by, among other things. That sounds like broke to us, at least until the next contract arrives. Keyshawn Johnson of ESPN alluded to Jackson being broke on Sunday morning as well.

They have beaten everyone in their division once this year, its every other team in the NFL that they cant seem to beat.

This game, I think, was the culmination of a few factors. Marshawn Lynch is coming into his own, Tarvaris Jackson is comfortable as the starter and in the offense and the offensive line of the Seahawks loves to run block and has the mentality for it. Granted, the pass blocking which requires more talent and finesse is a real problem for these guys.

On the other hand, DeSean Jackson has given up and just reverted back to the mentality of a sullen 12 year-old, the Eagles' run defense and toughness on D has disappeared (with a couple of notable exceptions in Jenkins and Babin even though Babin got used by the pulling TE on a few big runs) and the coaching/game management on the Eagles' sideline is beyond atrocious.

WTF is "getting by?" He needs another Benz or Bentley in his parking lot?!

Aside from that, why didn't that jerkwad Rosenhaus send this guy to a financial advisor to help him in that aspect?

So, are the eagles statistically eliminated from the playoffs yet?

I love Eagles fans. Always just that one coach/QB away form Super Bowl greatness.

If only you had gotten rid of McNabb/Reid 10 years ago, then those 5 NFC Championship appearances would have been 5 Super Bowl victories.

Which made him a genius to his fans when Vick had a career year last season.

Does Reid control the owner's checkbook? He gets to be the one to decide to spend $100M on re-signing Vick? I rather doubt that.

Joe Paterno too.

I'm sure he was involved in the conversation.

In any case, the real reason Reid won't be fired is that he's got two years left on his contract, and the Eagles aren't going to pay him between $8-9 million to not coach.

Uh no, sorry.

In some of those 5 NFC Championship appearances, the offense was McNabb, Westbrook and hoping that one of their wideouts were competent enough to make the Eagles a deep threat.

So, without McNabb, Reid would've been out on his ass 5 years sooner.
