First time Stig did that he got killed. The second time he got fired. He'll probably keep his mouth shut for a while this time.

Some say... they never taught Baby Jesus Stig to talk to prevent another incident. And that if he could be bothered, he'd set Rupert Murdoch on fire. All we know is... he's called the Stig.

CtrlAltDestroy: The thing I love about Top Gear is the chemistry between the May, Clarkson, and Hamster. That and all 3 are genuinely entertaining.

James May is actually astounding. He does not come across as well on TV as he does in print interviews. Here in the US I am hoping that some network picks up an engineering show that he is (was?) doing to promote learning and innovation.

Clarkson is a prat. Both on and off screen.

Richard has done some other really interesting shows.

But I agree - the chemistry between them is what makes the show.

Besides, this Stig was born in a manger in Bethlehem, alongside the Baby Jeezus. He would never say something like this.

That show just keeps degenerating. The first negative thing i remember was when they were completely unprofessional about the Tesla Roadster, made up all kinds of blatant lies about it, and were unapologetic dicks when called out over it. Ever since then i keep hearing quotes that make them sound like grown chavs, which they also stand steadfastly by.

Oprah won that case. Not sure if she got attorney's fees, but today in Texas, loser pays.

Yeah...because a guy who nobody takes seriously cracking a joke about whiney-assed union members is JUST LIKE one of the most influential women in America using her pulpit to whip up a public frenzy based on no evidence whatsoever...

/One reason to consider moving to the UK would be to have greater access to Clarkson's TV appearances...

The thing about that was I knew that they had fired Stig 2 already. So I had a sense that they were going to have a baby Stig there. Didn't stop me from laughing so hard that I nearly cried.

That's a lot of work in a day.

Almost as much as killing 100,000 people, yeah. Their diary must look very odd. "Get up in the morning, death, death, death, death, death, death, death - lunch- death, death, death -afternoon tea - death, death, death - quick shower..."

/Yes, I realize that's not one of the Top Gear Guys. Though I do need to find the episode on netflix where he's the star in the reasonably priced car....

Finalgear dot com. They have something called "torrents." They are your friend for such a situation.

Actually, it's all on netflix instant, which my girlfriend has. I'm always a bit nervous messing around on torrents (Not nescessarily from a legal perspective, just... eh I'm overly paranoid/worried about viruses sometimes. And.. kiiinda lazy.)

I've gotten every single one of the Top Gear episodes from that site. No viruses ever. They get the files from the same people every time and if there was a virus on one of them, the link wouldn't exist anymore. And the site is essentially TG approved at this point (the producers are known to check the forums there from time to time).

I have every episode of Top Gear from 2003 and on. It is such a well made show. The photography, the editing, the music mixing, is just first rate. And it's so much fun watching those three middle aged knuckleheads goof around. Top Gear and MST3K are neck and neck as far as the greatest TV ever made.

It is such a sad commentary on free speech in Britain when you have people just waiting to jump on Jezza when he says things they don't like. Britain is turning into such a Slalinist State.

The man is a massive cock. He acts like a cock. He talks like a cock. He is, a cock. Either that, or he's pretending to be a cock - which may be worse.
I know he's popular and everything.. hell, even *I* used to like him, but I've now seen through his pseudo-bigotry for the massive cock he is. His casual racism and right-wing blusterings are getting tedious and should not be dismissed as "humour" or "awww, he doesn't mean it". I'm all for people speaking their minds but I fully reserve the right to point out what a giant cock you are for what you say.

At what point is it even vaguely funny to suggest that you take a nurse or a teacher, for example, and kill them in front of their family? Yes, I've said things like that and not meant it... but I'm not Jeremy Farking Cockson who gets paid a million quid a year by the taxpayers. and I don't say it on the TV where I know it will influence a large number of white-van drivers and Sun readers.

Fine, if you don't like people going on strike, say so.. but at least come out with something resembling an argument rather than a lame attempt at trolling on prime time TV.

He's a cock that earns far too much money and has far too much influence to be spreading his cockness everywhere.

Stuart Lee kind of sums it up...Link.
I wonder how many of you suckers of Clarkson's cock-spoutings will make it all the way through.

Cock.

One of the funniest things I ever saw locally was a Tesla Roadster racing a 'vette on the interstate by my house. The police got both, and the newspaper report stated that the corvette was driven off while the roadster had to wait for a tow since it ran out of "juice".

/the moron tesla driver nearly hit me

tnpir: Unison, the public service trade union, welcomed Clarkson's apology and dropped plans for litigation and calls for his resignation.

"We would like to invite him to spend a day on a hospital ward, with one of our healthcare assistants. They do vital work caring for patients - cleaning up sick, bathing patients, and wiping bottoms," Unison added in a statement.

... and none of which gives them the right to go on strike against the tax payers. What part of public servant to these jerks not understand?

Government employees should not have the right to unionize or strike.

That being said Mr. Clarkson did go too far. Simply firing them in front of their families would be sufficient.

The BBC is not 'owned' by the British government. It's an autonomous public service broadcaster. The government's only involvement is that it sets the level of the annual licence fee.

My god is Jeremy Clarkson unfunny.

Then again, I'm not a mouthbreathing, bigoted, xenophobic, conservative, climate change denying dickbag who is amused by watching old farts drive fast cars.

There are groups of people with whom I disagree and do not identify. I would really like these people to be executed, but I would settle for eliminating as many of their rights as possible. For example, everyone between the ages of 18 and 30 -- I would like to deny them the right to use any technology that wasn't available prior to 1992. And those guys who pop their collars (STILL) and recline the seat on their chevy cobalt and try to act like they're all thug? Those guys shouldn't be allowed to own real estate. And for that matter, I don't think anyone without a college education should be allowed to reproduce.

But I'm not crazy enough to think these people should be killed, regardless of whether their families are watching.
