This is appropriate. I woke up to find this on a friend's FB page this morning. I had a good laugh... and then I was a little sad

I now have a pleasant little guitar riff running through my head.

Lol, Recording Industry "ASS" of America indeed!

Anyway, maybe before they go on and preach about anti-piracy, they should learn about the copyright laws first and not try to trick people who actually do the work out of their money.

Funny how a copyright group failed to understand the terms of the agreement.

A musician called Melchior Rietveldt was commissioned by the Dutch copyright-lobbying group BREIN to compose an anthem for an "anti-piracy" video. According to Rietveldt, BREIN licensed his work for a single use.

That's more than a little bit unlikely. I wouldn't be surprised if they bought it as a work-for-hire, in which case, he doesn't own the copyright on it any more. Unfortunately, neither this article nor the linked TorrentFreak article have any details on the contract.

It's not. According to the guy who snapped the picture it's a take out menu for a regular old boring neighborhood chinese place.

Your friend should send an email to 20th Century Fox. Most places offer a bounty for something like that.

I did a quick google search of the place and found their Facebook page. They're actually located along my commute home too and the Serenity logo is up as their profile picture. I might try their food out but if it sucks, I'll see if the internet wants to cruelly mock them over the blatant copyright infringement.

You wouldn't Steal a Baby!

You wouldn't Shoot a Policeman - And then steal his helmet!

You wouldn't go to the toilet in the Policeman's helmet!

You wouldn't send the helmet to the Policeman's Grieving widow! And then steal it again!
