He's going to be the next President (until the next next President surges forward). Fartbongo doesn't have a chance. He's going to be decimated by 40 states next November.

/This is what a conservative actually told me last night.

To be fair though, decimation of 40 is 4.

Might as well hand him Iowa, South Carolina and Florida right now.

Bring up how Gingrich proposed a national healthcare exchange and healthcare mandate as recent as 2007 and watch him fight off cognitive dissonance.

This article (new window) pretty much explains the Republican party, with special emphasis on the Tea Party sub-group.

He'd better hope they remember where their polling place is.

No need to go through all that trouble. Just mention Libya.

Fear and Anger trumps Extramarital Snatch and Ethical Breaches?

To be completely fair, it can mean 10% or most of. Link (new window)

Older voters that can be scared in to voting Democrat by Medi-Scare tactics that have been used for decades and AARP going to retirement homes to find actual honest to goodness seniors who are senile to vote.. But only if they vote the "right" way...

All perfectly legitimate.

Older voters that might vote Republican? Clearly they're senile and you're just taking advantage of them.

As bad as privatizing Social Security is, turning Medicare into a voucher plan while the same time you are proposing to remove the pre-existing conditions requirement is a thousand times worse.

Newton sets out to own the last demographic the GOP can call their own?

Pandering shamelessly to them by promising to throw wads of cash at ALS?

Gingrich (and, indeed, much of the GOP) deluding the elderly through fear mongering and misinformation campaigns?

Well, they *are* weapons but I'm not sure they're much of a secret by this point.

In fact it's more what one might call a most accurate, predictive model for his(/their) behavior

Exactly. Gingrich stated loudly and publically nearly every single talking point from every point of view about that conflict. For and against intervention. Too much, too little. Competent, incompetent. The man woke up every day, threw a lawn dart at a "jump to conclusions" mat and ran with it.

My 90 year old father looked at me and said "Newt is a brilliant man!" I proceeded to tell him about his morals and the shiat he did to get kicked out of the Senate.

He had NO idea. It's not senility, it's called 'watching nothing but Fox News".

Which is just absolutely depressing. It hasn't even been 20 years yet. What the hell America. What. The. Hell. This isn't freaking Nintendo where you hit the reset button and you get a fresh start and a full set of lives.

He caused a full on government shutdown because hes a egotistical crybaby. How does one still have any semblance of a career after that?

It's 3 am, and your children are safe and asleep.
But there's a phone ringing in the White House and this time the crisis is economic. Home foreclosures mounting, markets teetering. Newt Gingrich just had another temper tantrum and shut down the government. He'd let the phone keep ringing.
Hillary Clintoninsert candidate here has a plan to protect our homes, create jobs.
It's 3 am.
Time for a president who's ready.

The GOP, the party of the family and small government, is going to nominate a thrice-married adulterer, 30 year Washington insider who made millions as a lobbyist after he left the House of Representatives as the only Speaker censured for ethics violations...you can't make this stuff up

He is about as white as you can get though, so he's got that going for him
