But he's not a danger to society and isn't leeching off the taxpayers.

i'm not sure what this has to do with immigration reform? If someone is absolutely determined to keep coming across the border like this guy, i don't know as how we realistically have the money and will to stop them. what should we do? lock the guy up in prison here for the rest of his life? kill him? it seems like everytime he sneaks across we catch and throw him back out.

I had a rat problem in my garage a few years ago. I'm about as big an animal lover as there is, so I bought one of those Havahart live traps, planning to catch them and release them in the park near my house. Well, I kept catching them, and I kept releasing them, but they just never seemed to end. That's when I noticed the notch in this ones ear. I let him go about a mile from the house, and about a week later, there was old notch again. It was the same damn rats, over and over again. Smart little buggers.

Well, after I realized that, I changed tactics. I filled a 55 gallon trash container up about a quarter full of water. Then when I'd catch a rat, I'd throw him in there and put the lid on tightly. He'd squeak and squawk and screech until he finally died of exhaustion. Then I'd dump him out in the back yard for the feral cats to eat. After about a week, I didn't have a rat problem anymore. So maybe all America needs is a 55 gallon trash bucket and the sense to use it.

Plus a moat with alligators.

/Careful not to electrocute the alligators though.

Solution:

Finish pulling our troops out of the middle east, transfer them from whatever military branch they're in now into the National Guard (to get around posse commitatus restrictions), then line the border with them.

Fences don't work, but bullets do. Just turn the entire US-Mexico border into the equivalent of the Korean DMZ. Mines and sniper towers.

thats why i said the money and WILL. those employers make lots of money using these people as serfs. the prison companies make lots of money building revolving door ICE detention centers. they then take a decent amount of this money and give it to politicians. those politicians then make a lot of noise about the situation to placate the masses, knowing full well they can blame the other side of the aisle when the bills conveniently fail in committee and pocket the change.

everybody with money is winning already, so there is no will to change the status quo

Don't they have a "habitual offender" law in South Carolina?

I've said before... Deportation is about as effective a "solution" for illegal immigration as catch and release would be for keeping the Japanese lion fish out of the Gulf.

nah, that's too expensive... you need to do this the cheap way.

All you need is about 5 *feet* of electric fence. Wrap it around the first guy and plug it in, leave it that way for an hour.

Ask the rest if they want to stay. -you'll only have a few takers.
