Brand himself has been busy as well of course, pursuing his career in acting with the lukewarmly received 'Hop' and 'Arthur',

Referring to 'Arthur' as "lukewarmly received" is being a bit more than generous.

I'd host her Golden Globes, if you know what I mean.

I think you do.

It has a 27% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, 37 from Metacritic, had an estimated budget of 40m and grossed 33m.

Not sure that constitutes a "lukewarm" reception, regardless of your singular opinion of the movie.

Is that relevant to the film's reception, the subject of my original comment?

"First I'm pregnant & then I'm divorced. What am I All My Children?!" raged the star...

Raged? Me thinks they read a little too much into the tweeties. The only way I can get any rage out of that quote is if I read it as Lewis Black.

Yes.

Because when you say something is good or stinks at least it's YOUR opinion and not based on something you read somewhere.

Not sure if you're being obtuse, aren't reading very carefully, or if you're just dim.

I didn't give my opinion of the 'Arthur' remake on its merits.

I commented on its reception. I said it was poorly received, or rather that "lukewarm" was being more than generous.
I posted an aggregate of reviews (critical reception) and box office numbers (financial/popular reception) to back it up. Again your singular opinion does not put much of a dent in that.

So your point about criticizing the merits of a film someone hasn't seen would probably have been better made some other time, when someone was actually doing that.
Though if you were specifically hoping to defend the remake of 'Arthur', I'm guessing that subject will come up very rarely.

Anyway, glad you enjoyed it.

If you want to get really technical I was commenting on FARK posters in general making good/bad statements about things they've never seen for themselves.

/hence the "inconceivable!"
