"secret" is less calories, more calorie burning. wait a tick, that's not a secret, it's a scientific fact. i should know, i'm a fatty who is becoming less fat (around 25 lb in the last 2 months). i also was a former chubster who lost weight and gained it back over the course of years. secret for that was 1st: less calories, more calorie burning, and 2nd: slowly adding more calories while slowly decreasing the calorie burning.

really, barring some thyroid disorder or something like that, it's as simple as that

while he was indeed "obese", other than his face/double chin he really didn't look THAT big in the "before" pic in the article. none-the-less, he is probably MUCH better off now, and the fact that his loss was apparently over the course of a year he may have actually done it in a healthy manner that will also increase his chances of keeping it off. good on him!

not that you're asking, but for me to change my overeating habits and give me a bit of a jumpstart, i had my dr prescribe me a month of adipex...it REALLY kept me feeling not-hungry, enabling me to successfully cut out my "4th meal" and between-meal snacks! there are definitely cravings, but nowhere near as frequent as before!

and in the evenings if i get hungry after, let's say, 8pm (i eat dinner between 3:30 and 5:30 most days, and i stay up till 11:30 or later most nights) i find a spoonful of peanut butter keeps me from trying to eat a meal or a bunch of junk.

plus, even though i've been exercising (mostly walking) a decent amount over the past 2 years, i've really stepped it up...still mostly walking, but i work in a 14 story building and on breaks i walk up and down the stairs a lot, as well as taking a stroll around the surrounding area at lunch
