I can assume it will plummet 400 points on Friday because of new Europe debt fears? Its not like we haven't seen this happen 3 or 4 times now over the past few months.

Just pack up all your money into a wheelbarrow and I'll change them into million dollar bills that I have invented, but are totally legit when the hyper-inflation does come.

it's been creeping up significantly on the necessary things. food, energy, health care.

the only thing is that the avg inflation rate is hiding these factors because of the deflation of the housing market and the flood of cheap imported goods like electronics.

It has? I haven't seen it. I'm still spending about $30-35 on groceries that I was two years ago, and gas hasn't changed much. Healthcare could be, but that's always going up regardless.

Forget about Bush. He was a lousy President.

This recovery is clearly because Reagan was so awesome.

Our economy is being held by a third party who has no vested interest in ensuring anything but the financial success of banks.

Yes, the Federal Reserve.

Why doesn't the President have a larger role in working out deals? Why doesn't the Treasury Department.?

Really?

Knowing the fed printed 20+ trillion dollars to loan to (actually backstop and relieve of toxic derivatives) banks and yet barely a blip in real inflation?

And you think a few trillion to the Eurozone will suddenly result in Hyperinflation?

I must...

Deflation in luxury items doesn't mean much if nobody can afford them because of increasing prices on the essentials.

Groceries went up a few years ago when gas prices took a jump. Seems to have leveled off.

Seriously, petulant children should be treated like petulant children. Give Greece a NICE behind the scenes talking to. Give them one chance and kick them out the door. "Sorry, you are not even trying"

Oh yes and HELLO BANKS? stop lending money to tards who cant pay it back or at LEAST get some collateral.

There is a significant time delay between the implementation of government economic policy and when its effects are really seen. Thus, the so-called "Clinton Boom" was really caused by the Reagan tax cuts. The mild recession of 2000-2001 was caused by the Bush I tax increases. The 2000s stagnation and the current Great Recession was caused by the Clinton tax increases. And now, this recovery is being fueled by the Bush tax cuts.

Notice how I blamed a recession on Bush I. So this is really objective, and non-partisan.

Umm, they've all been cutting spending for 3+ years now without making a dent. There's nothing of substance left to cut.

You'd know this, of course, if you'd been paying attention

I'm going to repost what I posted in the other thread before I was censored by the Taxbongo administration.

I was down on the floor of the stock market and there was a wild rumor spreading all day that Taxbongo Obamaluke was going to lower taxes and keep the government out of our business. Expect the gains to vaporize when everyone finds out the true intentions of our most socialist president.

If you libtards had voted for the right guy this recession would have ended long ago- search your heart, you know it to be true. But voting for the white guy would be racist, even if the Kenyan bastard was totally unqualified. You should be ashamed.
