The physics are really good in Skyrim, though it is annoying when my thunderbolt sends the dude I just killed flying off the edge of a cliff so that I can't find his body to loot later.

I randomly loaded Lydia up with staffs I had in my cabinets, with the intention to sell them off her at a market. As we wandered the wild, I spot a giant. Suddenly fire and lightning erupt behind me at the target, I spin around, and this tart is dual wielding two of the staffs, with a damn revive trailing along ("Lydia's Spider")

I was trounced.

Meh.. Watching him cheat to get the items kind of makes this... Meh.. I have over 500 bottles of wine that I personally collected myself.. So, at least you get a pay off for your hard hoarding skills.. Just typing in console commands ruins it.

I was wondering that, actually.

Ever since I discovered the "transmute" spell, I've...well, there's really no other way to put this...I've sort of been hoarding gold bricks for no discernible reason. At first I made jewelry and sold it, but now my smithing is at 100 and I've got other ways to make money, yet every time I go through a town I buy up all the iron ore, and every time I pass a mine I haven't hit up for a while, I stop by....

I've got more than 250 gold bricks sitting in a cabinet in Whiterun. I suppose my goal is to do a Scrooge McDuck at some point...

I think goat cheese is way too soft to retain a wheel form after being thrown down a mountain... You would need something like Pecorino to keep its shape

I'm already having a pretty awesome day, but this post is a definite high point.

I don't mind the thuum sometimes, the Draugr Wights it throws
I like grinding up my sneak and wearing leather clothes
Hawk beak and moon sugar helps me resist frost, no lies
But if you wanna restore health you need sabre cat eyes....

He took damage from cheese falling lol
I wonder if that could be used to kill NPCs? It's almost a new, vaguely super-villain-ish way to play

I didn't even smirk until I noticed he was almost killed from the impact of the cheese wheels against him.

I can't believe anyone plays the PC version with mouse and keyboard. It's so not made with that in mind.

Do yourself a favor, PC gamers: Get yourself a Wireless Xbox 360 controller for Windows. Skyrim, Fallout New Vegas, Deus Ex Human Revolution, Batman Arkham Asylum, and many other games play SO much better with a control pad (which is natively supported) than with a keyboard & mouse. And bonus: You can stop leaning over your desk, kick your heels up, and relax a bit.

To each their own, but honestly, most action games today are made with console controls in mind. This isn't a FPS, and you don't need to circle-strafe with super-precision.

So, I've never gone the enchanting route... but I remember in the past enchanted weapons needed to be recharged. I'm assuming it's the same case in this game- but I'm unable to see how many remaining charges I have on an item. Help? Where should I be looking for that information?

Enchanted weapons will display a silver bar it either the left or right about mana or stamina depending on which hand it is in.

The best measure, for me personally, of how not broken the leveling system is and how awesomely skills are handled is the fact that I got all the way up to level 41 before I started a new character. In Morrowind I rerolled half a dozen times before level ten before I got the hang of things. This time around, pure mage, Altmer, all points into magic, none for health or stamina. Some stealth perks and of course alchemy and enchanting. Thats the plan at least.

I finally got my smithing to 100 and got my full set of dragon armor. Now I just need to work on my enchanting to make all my legendary weapons and armor even more awesome.

I need to level up my heavy armor so I can get the weightless perk so it stops filling up my inventory. I carry the thieves guild armor around just because it opens up 35 more units of weight in my inventory, offsetting its 8 units.

I'm also having a hell of a time with the arch necromancer trying to get Azuras Star. Does anyone have any advice on getting through that dungeon? I'm playing as a dunmer sword and shield brawler so frost mages always give me trouble.

Dear Fark.com,

Sometimes I feel like you aren't the greatest place to spend my time.

Other times, well, I'll let Harry tell you: Just when I thought you couldn't possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this... and totally redeem yourself!

Its pretty easy to make a poison of prevent magicka regen that will shut down a mage. You still have to let them run out of spells, or do another poison of deplete magicka.

Usually I go with blitzkreig, mace to the face because wizards have such little HP anyway.

Why not use daedric armor it has a higher base than dragon. And a helpful tip is if you have blacksmith potions and enchanted armor to increase smithing you can yield even better stuff. You can make your smithing above 100 with them and still enhance their stats more.

Dod fricking gammit!

There is a cheat? I have been stockpiling every wheel of cheese I have come across in the game so I could eventually bury the whiterun market in cheese wheels and take a picture.

Really, the ability to alchemy->enchanting->better alchemy->better enchanting->repeat n->smithing would let you wear any set you want and it would be better than Dragonbone unbuffed. Although you can make even better items under the same effects if you make the higher tier ones, at some point it probably does not matter whether you have 1000 armor in dwarven or 1750 in dragonbone (or whatever your armor could be after a long session of exploity).

As for strong mages, I use Unrelenting Force to stagger them from a distance, charge in, wait for them to recover (but not long enough to move away) then power attack to stagger them again. Repeat until dead.

On one hand, I'm wondering why anyone would have a spell allowing them to create vast amounts of cheese (I don't play Skyrim), and on the other, I'm reminded of a dangerous annual festival event in the UK that involves rolling a large cheese wheel down a hillside, with a bunch of the villagers chasing after it, with the one to catch the cheese getting to keep it, I think. Some medieval festival remnant that persists.
