I can't believe Howard Stern is still on the air. Well, the air in space anyway.

"We're going to try to reconnect with the real Gregory Porter as best we can," a visibly embarrassed Whitfield then said.

How can you "reconnect" with the real Gregory Porter when you never connected with him in the first place? Stupid anchor is stupid.

I can. Have you heard the total BS coming out of morning "zoo" radio these days? Farking disasters, the lot of them.

I only listen to WDVE's Monday show after a Steelers game. Other than that, Morning Edition or West Virginia Morning on NPR sure beats those WAAAACKY DJ's! I can't stand that genre, guess that's just my tastes.

SoCalSurfer: I see OJ I see OJ, I can seez him, he looks scared

I met the guy who made that call. "Maury From Brooklyn" supposedly he only made 2 prank calls in his whole life, and they were both amazing. The other one was the Colin Ferguson train shooting one on ABC in New York, where "he started shootin and yellin bababooey, bababooey".

I was on line with him at a Stern book signing when Miss America came out.

Stern has been great lately. 3 fantastic interviews in the last few weeks. Chris Cornell, Chris Martin, and Chaz Bono.

Jason Ellis was great today too.

I really need to buy a subscription. Is Ellis still in rehab/counseling?

And the Chris Martin interview was pretty good.

I can't believe they're still pushing the same lame-ass pseudo-gags that were never funny in the first place.

My grandma used to listed to Howard Stern when she was pregnant with my mother's older sister.

Note: She was abnormally obese on one side of her body so she listed to anything, but mostly Howard Stern.

/Yeah, that's the ticket!

How does he get up there? Commuting must be a biatch. I guess it's not as bad since he only works 2 days a week 5 weeks a year.

Jokes that were funny 25 years ago are "retro" now. It's ironic, see?

FTFA "I'm amazed by this," Stern said Monday on his SiriusXM show. "I think Janks was booked as a guest like 12:30 in the afternoon. So, from 12:30 to 5:30 at night, when he got on, CNN doesn't even check their sources. It's kind of crazy."

He's not wrong. Breaking news I can KINDA get, because you want to rush a scoop to air. Stupid, but almost understandable. But 5 hours is absolutely ridiculous.

/Not biased by being a Stern fan

I think the prank calls are the worst part of his show

For the most part, the people don't deserve it and have little recourse against him

Its a cowardly thing to do

They don't give consent to be pranked, though. I understand you take your chances when you let people call in, I'm just saying.

If they dont like it, they can refuse to have the call aired. They have the final say. But I think you are talking about call in shows. THey are big boys and girls, they can handle it.

Call him at 3am when he's in the middle of a coke fueled rage and start talking contract law?

Haha. Also, I dont think people understand Capt. Janks doesn't work for Howard, not you in particular, of course.

Yeah, I was talking about live call-in shows that get pranked. My favorite was when Dan Rather took one of Stern's pranksters so seriously, despite the fact that it was so obviously a prank, that the guy had to break character and say "You know you're an idiot, Dan?".

I think that was Janks. And he doesnt work for Stern. Its amazing how little fact checking national news networks do.

He may attract a lot of satellite radio customers, but not enough to save them from sinking into the crapper. Of course, relying on one DJ to keep a whole company afloat is stupid in itself.

I love how Frederica's expression so subtly shifted from "what just happened" to "oh no you di'n't!" during the Aristotelian recognition.

Radio? Isn't that the thing they used to listen to for RIAA approved music and other audio bullshiat before the internet? I think I saw one of those in a thrift store the other day. Didn't realize there were still people who used them.

What are their costs vs. Dish Network? What's their revenue vs. Dish Network? Your comparison as it is is meaningless.

I can't believe Stern/"Baba Booey" links are still being greenlighted.
