They're scared because they think they're this super competent organization that is brainwashing the world, and yet:

Ironically, despite the need for tightened security due to the spate of online attacks this year, the UN was not enforcing a minimum password character account. They also had the credentials unencrypted on the server and even more alarmingly, some of those listed were not even using passwords to secure their accounts.

Yeah, super evil geniuses there.

SnakeLee: some of those listed were not even using passwords to secure their accounts.

I did not even know this was a thing that was possible these days. Honestly, someone get these poor bastards some real computers. Or even a Yahoo account. Anything.

Actually considering the security that was in place, I'd say the UN was acting as if it was operating from a shack in Appalachia.

I mean, really. The password is "guest"? No way. Jesus Christ. That is just baby-town frolics.

Considering most of the jokes make one look like they're informed, I'm confused as to which jokes you might be referring to.

Do you have any examples?

OH dear, I ruined your deftly crafted 'strongly worded letter' joke.

By all means, lay it down. It'll be funny to someone.

This. Thankfully in before them -- or perhaps ignore is just finally working.

But in passing, what the fark is wrong with international justice and peace efforts? Or (attempting to) uphold and safeguard human rights/freedoms/dignity?

What is wrong with these people who are scared of global cooperation?

Not saying the U.N. is ideal but they do an enormous amount of good. However -- please don't let me stop you from using their shadow to terrify those sadly blinded by bigotry, provincialism and ignorance.

/I would love to hear for once the serious case against there being something on the international stage like the United Nations

Oddly enough, you didn't ruin that. Not at all. You did point out something about yourself, though...
