I'm 42 and have played in at least four fewer Pro Bowls than he did. It's crazy.

Anyone hear cause-of-death rumors yet?

Probably heart failure brought on by a lifetime of high sodium levels and obesity.

Chester McGlockton was a big, bad muthafarka. I salute him.

Then I go back to hating his Raider ass.

Was he ever tackled, and if so, how much damage did the truck sustain?

2 internets for you

Subby, I don't think Al ever forgave his players once they go to a division rival.

I remember when he came to KC (along with Leslie O'Neal), the pundits said that we "wanted thugs and got thugs". Now I hear that Chet was a very spiritual/religious man. So which is it, thug or theologian?

That's not all that uncommon in football players. Orlando Brown (who also passed this year) was known in his playing days as being one of the meanest and dirtiest men ever to grace the offensive line (which is no small title). But by all accounts, he was a very kind and gentle person off the field. A lot of us are different people during the workday than we are in our personal lives.

McGlockton also went too young, and sad to say, his career likely played a part in that. Hopefully they give him a few quarterbacks to chase up in heaven.

/And not those newfangled "mobile" quarterbacks, old-school pocket passers.

Maybe he cut back on the steroids? Besides, religion and thuggery aren't that antithetical. There's Bibles all over prisons.
