Two atoms are sitting in a field of ionizing radiation.
One atom says, "I think I lost an electron."
The other says, "Are you sure?"
The first atom says, "I'm positive!"

Perhaps a girl on a motorcycle could do it? I doubt it will happen though.

Who the hell would voluntarily expose themselves to radiation on a vacation? I'd much rather fly down to Brazil and soak up some sun on one of their nice black-sand beaches.

I'm actually rather upset by this because I've always wanted to visit the zone of exclusion. Hopefully they open it back up again. I wonder what caused them to call the tour-areas "too hot."

Came for Ringshadow, leaving disappointed.

Tell us oh great rad tech just how wonderful is radiation? Is it awesome or totally awesome.

OTOH

Chernobyl officials hope to reopen doors to tourists

A Kiev court upheld a ban on tourist visits to the site on Friday, citing outdated legislation and potential health hazards.

A Kiev tour operator told the German news agency dpa that he expected a lift on the ban on tourists in the coming days and that his company was already accepting Chernobyl tour applications.

That last part is too funny. XD I must go someday.

Came in to take a look around. Doesn't seem like anyone needs my services.

Remember, friends, without nuclear energy humanity would not exist!

Agreed..

Also, I would love to tour that area. I'd feel better about doing it if I knew that the funds from tourism went to the displaced. Ah well...

It may be because I'm lacking my morning pick-me-up (chocolate milk, hush I'm pregnant), but statue man looks like he's standing in the middle of a mushroom.

Hopefully they'll reopen Chernobyl, I'd love to go.

..Buh?

Also, I've never claimed radiation is wonderful, just that it's not the end of the world and life as we know it, generally speaking.
