I don't think coaches use that expression as much as they ought to.

In case you're wondering, because I had to check myself, yes, that is a direct quote. Coach K actually did say that.

Hoping my Badgers can hand it to NC tonight....

So, what I'm saying is...I hope my Badgers can shoot 60 % from the three point stripe...

It's our only hope (crossing fingers)

Eh, they did just fly in from Maui so that may have contributed to the severity of the beating, but regardless tOSU is playing fantastic. They would have beat them at Duke the way they played.

I just like watching Wisky frustrate teams into committing stupid fouls and bad shots. That's why I look forward to Wisconsin/SEC team matchups in the tournament. Those teams never see defense.

He's right, it should be, OSU kicked the shiat out of Duke last night. I thought they would probably lose, but I certainly hoped for better. Guess I'll just hang onto the fact that this team won't peak until next year.

oh I know WHY he left, but as a big college basketball fan, I believe in the idiotic and totally non-realistic dream of staying in college and winning the championship. Putting off the millions, etc. I know its way smarter to turn pro as soon as you are ready to produce at that level, but I can still dream can't I?

Yup, since this is the first year of the ACC/Big 10 Challenge after all. They certainly didn't play in West Lafayette in 2008. Or Bloomington in 2005. And there is absolutely, no farking possible way they showed up in East Lansing in 2003.

They were talking about NBA last night during the game. Doc Rivers was there and so was Lebron James and Dwyane Wade.

I think he'll stay. Right now he's a damn good penetrating PG but his all-around game is weak. I'm pretty sure his dad knows enough about basketball to make sure he knows this. He's nowhere near as polished as Kyrie was, and I don't blame him for leaving at all.

BWAHAHA. You can't be serious. Some of the best defensive teams are in the SEC. Just because the Big 10 teams are known for only scoring 60 points in a game and playing half-court ball doesn't mean it's the defense.

Well, there is some truth to the barb at Duke. He didn't want a home and home with UK when they tried to get a series going with the two schools back in the early '00s

That's really more Calipari ass pain than anything. FWIW- Duke is playing UK this year. And really, between the Big 10 challenge, the Maui Invitational every year, and then getting bounced around come January because they play in a conference that doesn't suck, where is the need to add another tough non-conference road game every two years? Plate is full. If UK wants some decent competition, they should look into jumping to the Big East.

I don't think Calipari can hold a candle to the Big East's "Coach Cal" in regards to lack of morals.

It is a weird situation where the SG (Rivers) is much better with the ball in his hands, while the PG (Curry) is much more valuable off the ball. Before the season, I was expecting Cook or Thornton to get more playing time at PG, but why would you want to take away time for either Dawkins, Curry or Rivers? And if Alex Murphy didn't have a concussion...

Sadly, I don't think the ACC is going 5-1 tonight.

Man, this is so wrong. First off, it was Tubby Smith and Coach K that tried to get series together, this is only Cal's third season at UK. Duke and UK play next year in the Legend Tournament (?) and no team plays in the Maui every year, save Chaminade, because it's their tournament. Also, the Big East is dead and the SEC has 5 top 25 teams, it's not exactly a mid-major.

Yeah, good luck getting them outside of Madison Square Garden or Cameron if you're just going for a regular season match-up that's not a tourney.
