Apos: Van Helsing and X-Men Origins: Wolverine were obnoxious flicks,to be sure. How much of that is Jackman's fault is debatable.

He did co-produce the Wolverine movie. What I wonder if it was his decision to sidestep character and backstory in favor of countless fight scenes because he wanted to show off how much he had been working out at the gym, or was that the studio's decision?

As for Van Helsing, that's because director Stephen Sommer's career had been delving deeper and deeper into total CGI porn.

I do not find Hugh Jackman the slightest bit obnoxious. In fact, he made me tolerate Wolverine. Maybe.

Never understood the Hugh Jackman hate... I don't know the man personally, but in all the interviews I've seen... dude seems pretty grounded. Doesn't act like an asshat, seems genuinely gracious about his fame... seems humble and doesn't take himself too seriously.

It's a love/hate relationship.

The love what he does, but they hate the fact that it's not them doing it.

I don't think he's obnoxious. I think he's actually pretty cool.

I am starting to believe this more and more. Married a chick about 12 years his senior, no natural born children, only adopted ones, had a good-looking male assistant for a very long time that traveled with them very frequently. Loves him them Broadway musicals...
