"Those of you that will be 21 by November the 12th, I ask for your support and your vote. Those of you who won't be, just work hard," Perry said.

Oh, for farks sake...he did it in the same sentence.

speaking to students at St. Anselm College on Tuesday in Manchester, NH

Isolated incident.

57 states, 13 year old daughter, muslim faith, tragedy in Kansas, nearby Arkansas, 24 May 2008, and Jared Monti are FAR more dangerous to our freedoms than anything else.

It's not like^ the Republicans are attempting^ to curb student voting^

its like the GOP went out and found the dumbest and weirdest people they could get, stuffed them into $2000 suits and put them on the ballot JUST to troll the country.

I still anticipate a Perry comeback because if there's one thing the republican base has taught us it is that they don't often make wise decisions.

I was actually checking out the Freepers reaction to the Cain thing yesterday, there were a few of them getting behind the idea that they need to figure out how to run Perry without him having to debate Obama in the process.

Let me guess...arguments centered around "Perry shouldn't debate against Obama because it would give an air of legitimacy to the dictatorship of the Kenyan usurper socialist."

It was actually more an atmosphere of despair, they are getting sad, they don't like Newt or Mitt much, several of em were to the point of giving up on the Presidency and focusing on Congress. Some were saying don't believe these treasonous lies manufactured by Obama, and then there were the third or so who were praying that after this Sarah would reconsider as "she's our only remaining hope"

It does get the kernel in early that if you're 18-20 and possibly Liberal, that you should hit the polls early on the 12th...

Should shave off a few votes for Obama in Texas if they keep it up. Dumb votes, but less votes...

Unless of course, they're engineering droughts and trying to cripple our response...

Bush as an individual was smart enough, it was just as an administrator that he failed at life. Perry doesn't even have the "as an individual" caveat in there, he's a dumbass from every angle. He doesn't even have enough intellect to misapply it and go all Bachmann nutso on us.

Very intradasting.

For me, the takeaway from the article isn't that he said yet another stupid thing. The man's an idiot, people who haven't figured that out yet likely enjoy the sweet taste of radiator fluid. No, the real takeaway is that he has, repeatedly, tried to pass himself off as an average joe, struggled to get where he is, yada yada yada. Yet, he was of draft age during Vietnam, 18 in 1968. Never went to Vietnam, never got anywhere close to it. The only people who I've ever known who were of age and didn't serve either had connections, pulled a Nugent, or went to Canada. He spent 72-77 in the Air Force, hauling cargo. So that eliminates the latter two.

Great, another privileged son who likes to pass himself off as one of the common folk. I've got no problem with people who were lucky enough to escape Vietnam, through whatever means. Just so long as they don't start cheerleading for others to go die in some stupid war later on, when it's safe. Oh well, Perry joins the very long list of coward conservatives who wrap themselves in the flag.

Ok, let's play. Find a republican who wants to end tax breaks for shipping jobs outside the country, and penalizes corporations that move off shore. Difficulty: no Ron Paul.
