Oh, thank goodness, just in time to save the season.

Peyton Manning for defensive MVP all these years.

The power of keeping your defense off the field...

2011-11-29 05:40:32 PM
Good, hopefully Ray Rychleski (special teams) and Jim Caldwell are next.

/Jeff Fisher in 2012

According to Yahoo FF, that number was 309 points allowed, subby. Are you including TDs on kickoff/punt returns - because the DEF coordinator has jack squat to do with that.

So, having no offense was the defensive coordinator's fault? Was it his fault, he didn't draft marathoners in preparation for the demise of Payton's neck?

2011-11-29 05:49:52 PM
I just assumed that the role of defensive coordinator for the Colts was a purely ceremonial one.

2011-11-29 05:56:42 PM
There will be a housecleaning in five weeks. I have no idea why they bothered rearranging deck chairs now.

Super Chronic gave you the answer already. It *WAS* his job, once Manning went down, to actually have to prepare a *real* defense, one that didn't depend on Peyton Manning running the offense to score elevnty-bajillion points to cover for the holes in the defensive scheme.

Why would you want Jeff Fisher? I would personally want Bill Cowher

YES! Delhomme is in Houston! Let the Shennanigans begin!

Kenthehillwilliam: YES! Delhomme is in Houston! Let the Shennanigans begin!

Well, that pretty much wraps up the division for the Titans.

So, perhaps we should form an NFL All-Fail Team.

This guy can be the defensive coordinator, the Chargers special-teams coach from last year can handle that aspect. Who should be offensive coordinator though?

Then of course we need to build the team...Delhomme at QB of course.

Josh Mcdaniels!

I don't think he is going to start (thankfully), so everyone can cool it with the premature ejaculating.

That said, based on the Titans and Texans remaining schedules the week 17 game between the two of them could decide the division.

Norv can be head coach, McDaniels as O.C.

Ryan Leaf as backup QB

Norv has had success as an Offensive Coordinator..then again if I had Troy Aikman , Michael Irvin , Emmit SMith , Jay Novacek , and the O line..I could came up with plans that would have been successfull too.

Holy shiat, you're right. Up until this, the largest spread this year was 17 (Pats/Chiefs 2-weeks ago) and a few at 14.

Ha!

I'm convinced that Jim Johnson's passing is what doomed the Eagles. He was the best football mind in that organization.

Lett was fine as a DT. Put him in at KR.

Just a guess - but it's probably to give someone else some experience or a test-drive in the role. Kind of like putting in the freshman point guard when you're down by 40 with 5 minutes left.

/although in this case, it's more like down by 150 with 12 minutes left.

Be a great HC for all fail team.

Just one example.

you sound upset over subby's slight embellishment. Doesn't change the fact that their D was worthless

I have a feeling that if SD gets their shiat together at GM he'll be the Chargers next coach.

Funny thing is, even if you take out the points the (not so) special teams have allowed, Indy's "defense" has still given up more points than any other team, ST & all.

Nearly 30 points per game is pathetic. But at the end of the day they have no sustainable running game, an O line that makes the skins' look great, and an incompetent OC.

I'm not terribly familiar with sports terminology. Why is it called "allowing" points as if it is easy and simple to prevent the other team from scoring?

Because some teams do, indeed, prevent other teams from scoring. Other teams allow them to.

Even as an unabashed Bellichik fellater I'd still take the points in a spread that absurd.

Take a page from the Eagles book of fail and promote an offensive line coach to fill the Defensive Coordinator role!

It's nuanced. It's called the english language.
