Eh... I'll risk it. Oysters on a half shell is, after all, part of my hypothetical "last meal".

Winter vomiting virus?

What do you suppose happens?

2011-11-29 02:17:56 PM
Well, all true oyster afficiandohs know that you never eat oysters in months that have an "R" in them. You only eat 'em during the "non-R" , warmer seasons. Trust me.

Hey Gavin, we've figured out what the sound of Winter is. Evidently, it sounds just like vomiting.

I have a couple of relatives that come down with a winter vomiting virus every year.

But it's usually caused by too many rum-soaked eggnogs rather than by raw oysters.

2011-11-29 03:50:46 PM
Ah, yes, norovirus. If you ever want to lose ten pounds in ten hours, that's the way to go.

Well, Seattle is where the Seahawks and Mariners are so maybe you have built up a tolerance for things that make most people sick.
