He was flown to Bogota on Sunday for medical treatment and to be reunited with his girlfriend and 16-year-old daughter, as well as other relatives.

Wow, she is a better person than I am. After 12 years I would have been all "Castaway" and moved on.

Is there nothing that can be done about these savages in the jungle? They keep people hostage for years in the worst conditions, without medicine. The hostages often lived chained by the neck to each other.

Oh well.

While I like a good Farc headline, whatever happened to our second favorite terrorist group, the MILF?

That might have made it for the Stupid Fark Headline. Bravo.

However, I would not live in Colombia for all the coffee AND cocaine revenues combined.

I like Colombia. It has improved 500% in the past decade while Venezuela has gone in the opposite direction, which just happens to be one of the places FARC has moved much of its operations to.

Colombia still has problems but I would pick it even over Mexico right now.
