You know how to tell when you've had too much to drink? When you get pulled over by the coast guard.

"Turn off your windshield wipers, it's not raining, you're in the ocean!"

"F*CK YOU SEA PIGS!"

Tourist hires a rental car and parks out near the beach.

Tourist doesn't know about tides.

Tourist's wallet is about to get a Pounding.

OK, so who's the U-boat commander?

I didn't expect a car to be so much air tight that it would float for that long.

Although, I don't know that brand.

Not necessary, Europe is weird. They build roads that get covered at high tide. It's a concept that is really hard to grasp for tourists. Who would think you need a check a tide schedule to drive.

/we need more info about this one.

Rebadged Opal, made in Germany. VW Beetles would float if you kept the door seals in good nick. I guess the Germans engineer their cars to be able to ford the smaller rivers in Poland and France (HEYO!).

Simetra: I thought this was going to be one of those Mornington Crescent headlines.

No, Mornington Crescent headlines are disallowed on a double-spinback where the tidal causeway has been obscured.

I would think it would be the Welsh Coast guard or something , or (shh they might be listening) the UK Coast Guard.
I shudder to think that Biloxi Mississippi could have a Biloxi Coast guard or even Atlantic City, having an Atlantic city Coast Guard.

LOL, yes, it's a national service, but media reports almost always give the name of the particular office.
