Hmmmmmm.....L.A. Jaguars.

The purchaser is unknown, yet the plan is for the team to remain in Jacksonville.

Oh thank god. LA VIKINGS HERE WE GO BABY

Nope, it's Khan. He just wants to own a team (he tried to buy the Rams a few years ago).

LA Seahawks is still the favorite

GimpyNip: Jaguars current owner is squirming all over the screen on NFL Network when asked if Kahn will move the team.

My guess is they have an agreement, likely oral not written, that the new owner will keep the team in Jacksonville for a period of time (likely 3-5 years) to see if fan interest can be (re)built and whether or not the team can be successful in that time.

Whenever the team fails whatever arbitrary performance goals the new owner mentally or explicitly sets, then he'll announce the move.

2011-11-29 12:23:05 PM
it's pretty obvious they'll move to LA...they can say what they want, but they'll move. Did you see the stands during that game this weekend? Pathetic...half the damn stadium was empty.

It's not in his control after he sells the team so what's he supposed to say?

Rumor is that the current owner really wanted Tebow (hometown hero) and was talked out of that by the front office. Not only would Tebow fill the stadium for a few games if he was playing bad but if he was winning he could have sold out the season.

Should've fired the entire front office too. I mean, they had Garrard as QB, was Tebow going to be any worse?

At least he would've put asses in the seats at JAX.

Heard this a.m. that Del Rio is the first, and likely to be the only, coach in NFL history to have 10 losses to the Texans on his record.

/so he's got that going for him.

FTA: Jack Del Rio and Tom Coughlin have been the only two coaches in Jaguars history

After last night's game, they may have a chance to get Coughlin back.

If Miles makes the jump to the pros from LSU then Del Rio is one of the choices to replace him at LSU.

Del Rio was LSU's first choice 7 years ago, but he didn't want to risk violating his contract with open negotiations. LSU then called Les Miles.

2011-11-29 01:21:34 PM
Head. Is. ASPLODING.

First the utter joy of seeing that POS Del Rio fired....

...then the despair of the team being sold. I don't want them in L.A. Perhaps now we can get more butts in the seats and it won't happen...

Yesterday a bunch of fans called the ticket office and said they wouldn't buy tickets to the Monday night game unless Del Rio hit the road. I guess it worked.

Bittersweet day.

The Jags are once again proving why it was a great idea for the NFL to give Jacksonville an expansion team before Baltimore.

2011-11-29 01:23:39 PM
And yes the now defunct owner should have ignored his front office and drafted the home town hero in Tebow. He could have sat for a year behind Garrard and done for the Jags what he is doing for the Broncos. Both teams are exactly alike. Shaky offenses built around the run and solid defenses.

/Tebow is actually from Jacksonville

Di Atribe: Someone get Bunny Deville's rant from last night in here.

Ask and ye shall receive.

Wait, Jack Del Rio put in McCown after I quit watching the Jaguars game? HE PUT IN MCCOWN? That pissant of a pusbag took out the rookie qb who has already had his confidence shaken and put in mothergoddamnfarking MCCOWN? What he has done here, ladies and gentlemen, he has ruined our rookie. Ruined him. Ruined him like a virgin on acid on bourbon street during Mardi Gras. Gabbert's confidence will now be GONE, maybe forever. This is the absolute worst decisions in a long, long, LONG string of bad decisions.

Del Rio has to go. This is it. This is absolutely it. If that scumbag idiot teamkiller crotchrash yeasty bloody twatrag of a coach ever sets foot into everbank stadium again, I hope he ends up with ebola. I hope he ends up with pigeons flocking to crap on his head. I hope his stupid leather jacket morphs into a zombie cow and bites his stupid face off. I have HAD it with him destroying my team.

Now. Anyone want to know how I REALLY feel?

Said jaguar is related to George "The Animal" Steele.

I liked Del Rio for a while, but he's turned to shiat the past...three years or so? So yeah, shiatcanning him is good.

I really hope they don't move to LA. The Jacksonville Jaguars is one of the most fun names in sports to say. And the LA Jaguars just doesn't sound right.

(Then again, I almost hope no LA team gets made. California already has the Chargers, Niners, Raiders...)

Who do you think might take the job? Do you think Elway might trade them Tim Tebow after the season is up?

2011-11-29 01:54:22 PM
If they move to LA they're going to change the mascot to a car, and you'll have to pronounce them "The Jag-yu-ars"

I'd be ok with them going to London.

Cowher was spotted looking at real estate in Jax not too long ago.

Tebow... I think he just needs to be made into a running back. I'd take him as a running back.

Well, this sure muddies the waters but I still think that Rams are the leader to move to LA. Business relationships between AEG and Rams owners are too deep to ignore.

The Jags' QB is Blaine Gabbert. Blaine. Gabbert. Tebow is a better QB than Blaine Gabbert.

Cowher? That'd be interesting. I don't think we'll see a London team out of this or any international one...yet.

About goddamn time. Del Rio has been a really sh*tty head coach for us.
