I really don't see a point to Twitter. It offers absolutely nothing a site like Facebook doesn't already have, and misses out on everything except updates. Why have two sites/profiles for the same thing? Maybe I need to start sizing myself up for an onion-belt, but if I can have a site where I can view pictures, schedule events, chat in real time, promote a show, etc, AND show my "status"...why would I also have a site where I can only update my status...?

It still baffles me how it became popular when Facebook was already doing everything Twitter could do, and more, better. And Facebook still does it all better.

well, i think when twitter actually came to be, the "what are you doing" thing was new. i don't think facebook really had it yet, and myspace was still in use by people. but now that facebook has pretty much devoured myspace and become THE social networking site (fark google+, its only draw is that it ISN'T facebook) twitter is simply redundant and pointless. i guess i just don't get it.
