Oh, I didn't mean it as a judgement. If I were him debating those (largely) nitwits I'd be frustrated as hell, too.

Huntsman has now twice done something that adds to my respect for him. In an earlier debate they tried to tar him for serving in Obama's administration. His answer was perfect: "When your country calls, you serve." (I may be paraphrasing.) And in the foreign policy debate, he stopped this "listen to the commanders on the ground" thing right in its tracks. The President is the Commander in Chief. Yes, he/she will listen to the commanders on the ground. But the Commander in Chief has many voices to listen to, and many broader considerations to balance.

He's not letting them use rhetorical smokescreens for things which are just common sense.

What do you expect? He's a Mormon.
