Wow! I thought the submitter was joking, but this guy could easily pass as Drew's twin.

Hey, Drew...do you have any family in New Zealand?

Doppelganger. Someone could have told me that was a photo of Drew, and I would not have questioned it.

There is no God. I'm not sure if this thread will go green, however.

I'll be damned. That's pretty close.

I guess Drew is the evil one?

It looks nothing like Drew.

That's not his twin, that's Drew, he has a second career as an amateur astronomer

2011-11-28 08:37:39 AM
I'd have taken it in a different direction but well done, smitty

But everything in the Southern Hemisphere is reversed. So this guy is the good twin and Drew is the evil one.

Identity crisis aside, this is quite cool! Tend to read items like this, even saved this 'un. Well done, Kiwi photog! Tnx to subby also. Ya both done good.

But Drew is on this side of the Hemisphere. So there are both good.

... Maybe the twice as evil Drew triplet is in Russia or something?.

Ha, that's kinda awesome.

Mind I'm an astronomer, so I'm considering the planet imaging itself to be really awesome. The fact that he did it with such a small telescope makes it doubly so.

Scruffiness indicates evilness? Whodathunkit?

Oh come on.

The picture of "evil Drew" is obviously photoshopped. I can tell from some of the pixels and from seeing quite a few shops in my time.

CygnusDarius: ... Maybe the twice as evil Drew triplet is in Russia or something?.

I know, the evil triplet must be on Beta Pictoris*, or is that the cowboy triplet?

* Actually a planet circling BP for all you pedants.

Translated, that means "little birds of the sky god" (sorta)

Rangi is short for Ranginui (the father sky)

// just in case anyone cares ;-)

Well without a full goatee or a scar it was the next best thing to try to find out which one was evil

Yeah, but the twin doesn't look as gay.

/ducking

siyuntz: Doppelganger. Someone could have told me that was a photo of Drew, and I would not have questioned it.

Hmm maybe that's why Drew's not commenting in thread; he's already boarded a plane to New Zealand so he can fight his mirror-kin to the death. Two men cannot share one fate; one must die, and his luck consumed by the other.

2011-11-28 10:00:32 AM
So does that guy try to get $5into a month out of a dumb people for a mediocre website too?

2011-11-28 10:02:28 AM
Well at least Drew isn't a little brown and green fruit, as this other fellow apparently is.

2011-11-28 10:03:10 AM
Glad the rest of the family is doing well.

Drew should call him up.. get a free trip to NZ

2011-11-28 10:06:06 AM
What's amazing about this guy's accomplishment is that no one thought to try it before. It (really) isn't rocket science; it's barely even astronomy. It's almost Photoshop-level (hell, it might be possible to subtract the star image in PS from a series of bitmaps).

/What? I'm the Weenerser on the actual article? Yay for boobies! I love'm!

Pshhaw. Much like Ren Hoek, there is no good twin in that arrangement.

Only Evil Drew and Totally Evil Drew.

I know what you're thinking. "Did he tweet six times or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is the internets, the most powerful thing in the world, and would blow your reputation clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, Blowsalot?
