That's very unfortunate to read.

Really sad news. A great footballer, very promising coach and a nice guy.

This really sucks.

Devastating news for fans of Welsh football. Speed looked like someone that was putting them in the right direction for the first time since Hughes was boss.

It would be nice if somewhere in the article, it would mention exactly what he died from.

Totally expected this to be a Tebow article

He's a soccer player. He's probably faking.

Get farked.

Sad day. Nice move by Swansea supporters to change the moment of silence to applause. He did them proud as Wales manager.

It looks like everyone in the British press is trying to avoid the "s" word.

It was all a tragic misunderstanding: Amy Winehouse told God she wanted speed.

Never felt as affected by the death of someone I didn't know.

RIP from NUFC.

I'm desperate to find out why this happened. Speed was a man who appeared to have everything going for him, and there seemed to be no hint that he had any mental problems. This reminds me of the Chris Benoit tragedy a few years ago. Unfortunately, we will probably never know what was going on in his mind.

Trust me. You don't want to know.

It's too bad. He was a great player, a great coach, and by all accounts a really good guy. Condolences go out to his friends, family, and the Welsh community. (My Welsh mates are all pretty bummed about it.)

R.I.P.

Too soon?
