Pretty much this...there are the "freak" kinds of industrial accidents where a not-especially-dangerous piece of equipment manages to do a shocking amount of damage with an exposed linkage or pinch point or something, but to stick your hand into a RUNNING machine that was designed for the express purpose of grinding up large quantities of meat...I mean I feel bad for the guy and all, but he did it to himself.
