The CFL has its own legends. Its own heroes, its own tradition, its own history.

This.... is our league.

What was the skinny guy doing at first? Was he trying to feed the fat guy? It looked like that. Then the fat guy hit the skinny guy. Then it was on. Like...old men fighting. Yeah.

I swear, Buck Pierce is a masochistic. I liked him with the Lions but he is too stupid with his body and am glad he's gone.
Besides, his replacement is a turning out to be awesome...

It's f*cking amazing that the Bombers have gotten to the Grey Cup considering how bad their O-Line has been this year.

This. I couldn't tell how formal of an event it was -- I saw some military-looking folks, and I saw some folks that looked like they were in a hooded sweatshirt. Regardless, you'd think they'd be a bit more respectful and classy. I know, I know, emotions and sports and all, but grow up and be an adult, I say.

Gotta love a league that once had two teams called the roughriders and only nine teams. do any of the players even bench 200lbs? Lol.

Joe Kapp was a tough old bastard. When he was with the Vikings, he once received 200 stitches after being cut in the throat by a broken bottle, by a teammate. They were drinking and got into an argument over whose fault it was that they had lost a previous game. Both of them blamed themselves. He played the next day, and won the game. He's the only quarterback ever to play in the Rose Bowl, the Grey Cup, and the Super Bowl. He also did a lot of work for Cesar Chavez because when he was a boy, he worked in the fields picking produce in the Central Valley of California.

He played a prison guard in the original Longest Yard too. Tough is the correct description of him. Judging from the vid, he hasn't lost much of moxie.

Looks like it, but who knows? I'll feel a lot better about it if Bama has a sizable advantage over OK St. and VA Tech.

There's no doubt who I'll be for in their games next Saturday.

Krymson Tyde: Someone in the know provide a little backstory and if possible some video, eh?

Dunno if the video is around (in some dusty CFL vault somewhere), but the BC Lions were known in the 60s as the "Willie n Joe Show" after quarterback Kapp (the dude in the video) and all-star runningback Willie Fleming, basically the 60s CFL equivalent of Barry Sanders.

As the story goes, in the '63 Grey Cup the Lions faced off against the Hamilton Tiger Cats and Angelo Mosca (the other dude in the video) delivered a cheap out-of-bounds hit to Willie Fleming that put him -- and the Lions -- out of the game, and Joe Kapp has never forgiven him for it (even though Fleming has). The same two teams rematched next year and the Lions won Grey Cup '64. So really, this issue should have been laid to rest decades ago. I have no idea why the animosity is still there. Kapp went on to the Superbowl, Mosca went on to the WWF (wrestling, not wildlife). Both men's lives are epic win.

In fact, with Mosca's background in WWF, you'd almost think this was kayfabe........almost.....

Skinny guy makes a smart ass comment

Half crippled guy tells him rightfully so to shove it up his ass

Skinny guy tries shoving piece of shiat flower in crippled guy's face

Crippled guy shoves him away

Skinny guy hits him with microphone

Crippled guy swings with only thing he has to protect himself, his cane

Skinny guy punches guy with cane and knocks him over (not too hard to do when you need a cane to stand up)

After everything settles down Skinny guy makes more smart ass comments about naming his dog after crippled guy and how he kicks the shiat out of his dog everyday

/Skinny guy = douche bag

thanks. the way that unfolder I would have thought the fat guy was Joe Kapp and the skinny guy was Angelo Mosca. Still not sure why Mosca got agitated so easily if he delivered the cheap shot and presumably wouldn't be holding the grudge.

Oh c'mon, Angelo Mosca WAS a dirty, dirty player. I am old enough to remember him well, though not old enough to see the hit that was at the centre of all this. Back in my young days, I absolutely DETESTED Angelo Mosca. Just hated the guy - he was tough, ugly, dirty and the enemy, you know.

Don't remember Kapp playing because I was too young.

Anyhow, that's another one to add to the Legends of the CFL and the Grey Cup. I wonder how this will play here in town (Hamilton) since Mosca was a huge deal here and much appreciated.

My friend used to see ANgelo all the time at the CHARITY casinos in Hamilton, He apparently was/ is a big nasty bastard. Still, I think this JOe Kapp character was extremely out of line for what he did. It could have ended with the cane shot and a heated exchange. However hitting a crippled man is low.

BTW Hulk Hogan once mentioned that he thought ANgelo Mosca was the toughest man he has ever met.
