Considering how stupid it is in the first place, I'm guessing it's their best move anyway.

Ahhh yes. 1 loss in 8 years. By 5 points. In the Big House. To a ranked Michigan team. Using a true freshman Quarterback. Totally means that Michigan will win every single game from now until 2039.

Hope you enjoyed it, Wolverweenies. Cause with Urban coming, it'll be your last win for a while.

The_Six_Fingered_Man: Cause with Urban coming

That's making me consider stop rooting for the Buckeyes. Fark Urban Meyer. I don't want that toolbag anywhere near my team.

They never deserved "The" anyway.

That 7 year streak was how long that Ohio team was paying there players and cheating.

I'm pretty sure nobody at Ohio can afford to pay any players. Ohio State, yes.

Anyhow, congrats, Michigan fans. Your team earned it. OSU put up a good fight but didn't have enough.

It wouldn't be a rivalry if little sister didn't win once in a while.

At least we can agree that none of us are kiddie rapers, amirite????

Don't worry guys, Meyer will save tOSU. It's not like Mattison was one of his best recruiters and a big part of his defensive brain trust. It's definitely not like he works for Michigan now. Or Meyer has a losing record against Michigan teams.

Oh wait.

/700 some days since tOSU beay Michigan

I liked when McGloin got nailed for unsportsmanlike after they blew the play dead. That penalty was totally "15 yards because Delany doesn't want you in the first ever B1G Championship Game".

/then Monte Ball took care of the rest

Not to interrupt the circle jerk here, but does this really deserve an entire thread? I mean, UK ended a 26 game losing streak to Tennessee while playing a wide receiver at quarterback and passing for a healthy 15 yards.

Yeah, Tennessee-Kentucky. Real barn-burner of a rivalry.

Anyone looking ahead to next year and what the results will be is an idiot. 12 months ago, would anyone have predicted a 6-6 OSU, going into the game with Michigan favored? So much can happen by this time next year it's pointless to prognosticate.

And the six fingered man, "wolverweenies"? really? Cause I think your team is a bunch of doodie heads!!! So there!!!!

No, but considering this is Fark, where you know, we fill the site up with weird shiat, I think that qualifies a little more thread-worthy than a run of the mill Big 10(12) game, even if it is tOSU-Michigan.

Exactly. If it was going to be interesting, ESPN would have scheduled 2 announcers with close ties to UT for the game.

At least Urban Meyer begged out of his duties for the game; geesh, he was terrible announcing last week's game - not technically, but his bias against Michigan was pretty obvious. I have to think a Buckeye is in charge of scheduling the announcers over at ESPN/ABC. To think, Keith Jackson and Bob Griese were both pretty much banned from announcing Michigan games because of perceptions of bias, but putting guys that "bleed red and grey" (or whatever) in the booth is OK. I actually like Herbie, but he's become persona non grata at OSU with his journalistic exposes... even getting death threats, but he is very objective. Chris Spielman does alright, but lets his bias slip once and while (though he really does work at trying to be even handed). Urban Meyer, on the other hand... wow. That guy just hates Michigan. It's like he's a sore loser or something.

Yeah, and no one outside of anyone who lives in or is from Ohio/Michigan care about that game. All I'm saying is the UK/UT game was the definition of fark-worthy.

But whatevs, keep the "proud tradition" of the Big 10 alive, that's all you guys have left.

If Urban Meyer takes the job at tOSU, it just shows how big of a liar he was about his whole heart condition. The fact that it showed up right when was losing Tebow and had a less than stellar class coming in was total coincidence.

He's always wanted to coach football for the Ohio State Buckeyes. That's why he had a clause in his contract with Utah and Florida when the unexpected happened to Jim Tressel. That unexpected thing started last December.

It just seemed like real convenient timing, that's all I'm saying. I know that Urban Meyer has always been an OSU guy, but why the whole heart thing? Seems like a real dickish move.

Try this

No Tennesseee you cant have a bowl, you cant even win against a team with no quarterback.

I might be willing to give some credence to that train of thought had he not came back to coach a Tebow-less Florida 1 more year after his health issues began or if he hadn't already announced his second break from coaching before the Tressel story broke.

Was his timing amazingly lucky? Yes but suggesting he lied or timed it to take over the tOSU job is pushing it.

Wow, butthurt all around in this thread.

I hope AP polls goes maximum troll and ranks OSU next year with an unranked Michigan just to see what happens.
