Well, good. I can't really ever knock anyone who does something for a good cause.

Saw him live once some years ago, he was touring with Aerosmith of all people. Not a fan but he certainly wasn't godawful to sit through.

The interesting thing is that it only took a single long weekend.

Is Old Mil still sold in 14 oz cans?

Most impressive part of all this for me?

The fact that Kid Rock compacted every single can himself by crushing them against his forehead one at a time before turning them in for refund.

/No, DNRTFA, TY fer askin'.
/Old Milwaukee. Apply directly to the forehead.

Poison: I remember the 14 oz cans. Bring 'em back.

12 ounces of beer and 2 ounces of piss.

My wife (who harbors unexpressed desires for this banty rooster) makes me go see him EVERY time he's in town.

He puts on a great show, always thanks everyone for spending their money to come see him and generally works his ass off to give people what they paid for.

He's sort of the real deal whether you like his schtick or not. I'd vote for him if he ran for Congress.

Or, as the Dogmatics famously sang in "Drinkin' By The Pool": "We saved the Old Milwaukee for YOU"

Most famous people have done a lot less. I would consider myself a decent Kid Rock fan, even if I don't care for all of his music.

I don't think I'd vote for him if he ever ran for office since our entertainers don't belong in political office, but I gotta give the guy props. Not all celebs give back like that or show appreciation the way I've heard he does.

He's a local boy here and his quiet bits of charity have impacted our community in a positive way more than anything any politician has done and has shot parts of his Born Free video at the local dairy farm. ( Best fn ice cream in the state is at Cooks Farm Dairy.). He recently shot a segment for some cooking/eating/dining show cook ( I have no idea who it was.) at The Union, in Clarkston. ( Which is pretty great to go to for the Yuppie crowd and has an awesome selection of beer.)

His concert, which I was dragged too because I didn't know his music and at the time could not afford the cost of a ticket (was paid for by someone else), made me a fan. His stage energy was phenom.

He has a beer that is locally made called Bad Ass Beer. It isn't bad, but it is probably more of an Old Milwaukee taste pandering to the Mullet crowd and routinely sells well here in Ortonville, where he has a home. I like the label and design and I'll support a) a homie and b) a Michigan Made product.
